One of the nicest knives I own.
This is a well-designed and crafted tool that you can depend on. Everything about it feels very nice and slick, and you gotta love the ingenious mechanical design. It enables you to quickly grab and deploy the blade in the primary karambit defensive grip, with the index finger in the ring, pinky by the blade and the claw pointing up. This is accomplished without sacrificing the ergonomics, as this knife feels very nice to grip and wield. It's also fun to just practice/play with. I really like the low profile pocket clip too. The D2 tool steel blade is very sharp, should hold its edge very well and be tough to break. The only thing I can pick on is that the knife that I received initially didn't deploy its blade too smoothly or confidently. However, it was just bone dry. After I lubricated the pivot joints with some nice knife lube, everything became smooth as butter and satisfying to deploy.Anyhow, this is definitely one of the neatest and nicest quality knives that I've ever messed with and I heartily recommend adding it to your collection.

Love it.
I am by no means a knife expert. This knife is somewhat heavier or at least feels like it. But when the knife is deployed that feeling is not really there. That being said, having it in the sheath on my belt, it doesnt feel bulky or clunky. it just has a very nice feeling when it is being unfolded. The edge out of the box was very sharp which is always very nice to see.I have pretty small hand, at least for the average guy around my size, but it doesnt feel too big nor do i have trouble holding it comfortably and firmly in my hand.Ofc time will tell about the actual build quality and ease to sharpen though. My only thing would be, its a tad bit on the pricier side, but then again you get what you paid for right? *fingers crossed

Great knife and innovative design.
I have been watching this product since the creator was hand making them. At that time they were a little too much for my budget. Now that they are massed produced and the price is a fraction of what the originals cost, I am very happy with the end result. This has replaced my everyday carry (a CRKT chisel tip and/or a mass produced Emerson karambit of the same size). I like the karambit’s functional style over the chisel tip and, frankly, the quality seems better than the Emerson, so far. My only complaint is that the finish has some imperfections, but if I lost this thing I would immediately buy another.

The most unique karambit you'll ever see.
The craftsmanship is amazing. The folding mechanism is a very unique design as well as the zero profile pocket clip. I got the first responder version which comes with a glass breaker and a sheath with 2 tech lock clips. 1 for the belt and 1 for molle webbing. If you don't need the sheath just get the regular version. The higher price tag for the first responder version isn't really worth it. I mainly got it for the glass breaker but was kind of disappointed when I realized that I paid a lot of money for a tiny bump on the end of the handle. Either way it's a great knife and it's really sharp right out of the box.The only negative thing about the knife is releasing the locking mechanism. It's not as easy to release the lock as a traditional folding knife but it's still possible to do it with one hand. It will end up hurting your thumb after practicing for a few minutes.

Fantastic Knife
This is an amazingly made knife. Fits great in the hand. Very comfortable to carry with or without the sheath. Mechanism is very smooth, crisp and safe. Very sharp and holds and edge. Highly recommend this knife.

Not a "First Responder" knife, but a nice knife.
Negatives first. So I paid 20, technically 40 because sale, more for the "First Responder" model that is supposed to have a window punch. You can see my M16 with its tungsten punch for comparison...The problem with the "punch" is regardless of material it's nearly flush with the frame of the knife and is tiny. Sure that ceramic might shatter glass on impact... if you manage to hit the glass on the first strike, or second, or third. This should have been far more pronounced and extended from the frame. The minimalist design makes me worry that I'd miss the glass when it's needed, and as such I will never use it for this. The extra 20 bucks also gets you a kydex "sheath" that doesn't positively click onto the knife, despite detent, and instead holds it out of pure friction. The sheath is TIGHT and tight to the point it's going to break within the first month of use if not less. The sheath despite being kydex was NOT molded to the knife and was molded to something /resembling/ the knife... as such the notch to hold the knife does nothing, and it's so bloody tight you run the risk of deploying the blade by accident. It will never be used by me for these reasons.Other than the "pictures" shown that it came with... it came with no documentation or quick start manual for the parts it came with. Annoying but whatever. It took me a few minutes to realize the belt clip was adjustable because I knocked a peg out by accident. So a small "this goes here" page would have been nice. A minor thing. The good. It's a nice knife. It's insanely sharp compared to my other CRKT knives including my M16 EDC. It's entertaining to use and a show piece/conversation starter.I have zero doubts it will make a great backup weapon if it's ever needed.Summary? If you want a collapsible karabit then this is for you(get the base model). If you want something to aid you in your 1R tasks... get the M16 model with the tungsten punch over this.
