Great for what it is. Takes getting used to
I've always had issues with acid reflux from my coffee and decided to finally deal with them. Unfortunately low acid coffee usually costs a fortune. This was the most economical that I found on Amazon so I went for it.Over the years I've stuck to bold and dark coffees to manage my acid response - always with mixed results. At first this coffee gave me a slight acid response but after having it for about a month I don't feel any acidity except in times of high stress where it's mild. This means as a low acid coffee that it does what it is supposed to do.However, the flavor is much milder than I am accustomed to. At first I was ready to reject this coffee because I was hoping for something more assertive. But after about a month I'm good with it. The coffee really has no bitterness and makes a smooth cup. It's dark like I usually prefer but not bold or complex. Still it's a pretty good cup.I can definitely recommend this for anyone with similar issues to mine and who may be willing to try not the strongest coffee but a good one that should make life with GERD more manageable.

Low Acid - Smooth Taste - HUGE bag
I have mild acid reflux, but LOVE to drink coffee. The coffee at the office is not only awful tasting but also high acidity and bothers the stomach. I can purchase Starbucks downstairs for a great cup of coffee (still acidic) but I might as well throw away $500/year.I decided it was time to put my foot down so I purchased a "Melitta Ready Set Jo Filter Cone" and "Melitta #2 Filters" so that I could brew a single cup of coffee and forget the office coffee and Starbucks.Since I had to purchase my own coffee anyways, I decided low acid would be best. I've tried a few brands, and this gets 5 stars as it is as close to a real cup as possible. You must understand that low acid coffees will never give you the same rich bold taste of a regular cup of coffee. Part of the taste of coffee comes from the acid, so if you remove some of the acid you also remove some of the flavor. That being said, this make a pretty smooth cup of coffee but doesn't have the bold flavor and taste of regular coffee. To try to bolden it up, I mix about 2tbsp grounds in 8oz hot water for about 30 seconds and then pour the hot water/coffee ground mix over the Melitta Cone Filter. This extra steeping time boldens the taste and coffeine levels without the price and hassle of a french pressRemember, this bag is 2.5lbs, so it's HUGE. The picture can be misleading because it has similar dimensions as a regular bag of coffee, but is MUCH bigger. About the size of regular milk carton - so a good value. I've figured with the grounds and filters I'm looking at about $.10/cup as opposed to $1-2 at starbucks and DEATH from the free office coffee. This is 50% less acid so not a cure-all, but is generally gentler on the stomach. Overall, I give it five stars for being a solid low Acid Coffee.

What Happened
I have purchased your product 18 times on Amazon in the past couple years. I have told many friends and family workers about your product and how much I enjoyed the coffee and experienced a significant reduction in stomach acid. And then the quality of your coffee took a nose dive. NO TASTE, WEAK, WATERED DOWN……… WHAT HAPPENED?

Husband Likes It
Taste of coffee is good- you can smell the aroma all over the kitchen when it’s brewing. it’s smooth and strong (French roast), love that it’s organic and mold-free also. It does seem like the acidity is lower on this brand than most, because my husband’s morning heartburn is not as frequent. He gets a nice little kick from the caffeine content, and I’d say it’s a decent value for the money.

5 stars for the coffee - 1 star for the inconsistent packaging of the pods
The coffee itself is quite good, IMO, great taste, especially the French Roast, and very smooth and easy on the gut. The pods themselves are another matter. Have had several instances where the top foil has come off, spilling grounds over the box and shipping container and thusly wasting my purchase. As others have noted, I've had a few times where the pods spill grounds out into the cup, likewise creating a mess in the machine. As much as I like the convenience of the pods, I've had better luck just buying the ground coffee.

Five Stars
Allows me to drink coffee, even with IC. Someone asked about using this for "cold brew" coffee, and yes it can be done. I googled how to make the cold brew, but really need the whole bean to grind, this grind is good and works, a little on the finely ground, but then I've never tried the cold brew method. Absolutely NO ACID AFTER TASTE! Almost no taste of coffee if you use a flavored coffee creamer, but still not sure it's worth the effort since Puroast is so good without the cold brew.

low acid and good taste
The order I received October 17 only contained 24 pods at the same price I previously paid for 72 pods (52.49) I am sure their is a mistake as my subscription is for delivery every 2 months. please advise.

Great Low Acid Coffee
My wife loves this low-acid dark roast as her get-up-and-go morning cup! The French Roast has a deeper, richer flavor and aroma than their regular roast.
