Songbird Essentials Replacement Tube with Red Cap 12 Pack

We just moved onto several acres near a river in TX with many trees. I have several female hummingbirds fighting over feeders but it was a struggle at first to get them attracted to any regular feeder. I had to make fake flower heads out of foam sheets to get them to find the hole in these. These separate tube feeders are perfect for feeding all of them with fewer fights, since I put them all over my property. A hummer cannot defend a feeder she cannot see, at least not all of them at once. The babies are just now coming to the feeders in late July. Eventually I might have whole families sharing one larger, traditional feeder, but for right now, this is perfect. The weather is so hot here that I change them out ever single day in high summer. I also bought red grosgrain ribbons to hang and dangle in the breeze to catch their attention.

The media could not be loaded. These work great for my window hummingbird tube feeders! I can keep the extra ones filled in the fridge seems how I have to change the 3 sets of feeders I have every 2 hours during the busy times of the summer! They have been easy to clean and you just need to lightly put the red cap on and it stays fine! It does drip sometimes, but my hummers are always eating from them so it could be them to causing it to drip more! They don’t stay full long enough for it to be an issue for me to worry! Bad thing I think they like these better then normal feeders! Lol Update 2022: I have had these tubes for 4 years now and after all the cleaning and filling of hummingbird juice I am happy to say I have only broke 3 and one was my sister's fault lol I posted a new video of just how much these little birds love them!

Perfect replacement tubes for my feeder. I wish I could find someplace that just sells the caps, they fade out after one season, the tubes last forever unless you break them. But the faded red doesn't attract the hummers as well as the new bright red..see pic. Please someone offer up just the caps for sale...you will sell a ton of them!

Tubes fit our feeding apparatus. Have broken one. The lids are tight and glass is fragile.

I make my own bird feeders and these tubes are perfect. They hold enough to last a few days, which is perfect for here in Texas, because after a few days, any left over syrup is starting to get a bit funky from the heat anyway. They're small enough that you can fit them into all different kinds of designs, and they're cheap enough that you can buy a bunch of them and scatter them around so you don't get a lot of bird fights in front of you house. Unless you're into watching bird fights, in which case you should just buy a bunch and put them all together in one spot. WELCOME TO HUMMERDOME!

I like the size....and they would work just fine.....but, this is the 3rd test tube that has broken. I keep them in sets of 3...so I can take one set out to replace. I take them out in a small glass....I gently replace each test tube and put the empty in the glass. I don't know what is causing them to break.

I'm so impressed with this simple little feeder. The hummingbirds love it, and drain it dry on a daily basis. It's so easy to fill and replace the tubes. I ordered a few tubes, so I can just pull out the empty tube, quickly fill a clean one using the nectar concentrate, and pop in a full one. I never have to worry about bacteria build-up in the nectar harming the birds, which is what's prevented me from feeding hummingbirds in the past. I placed it in a plant pot by the glass door in the kitchen, so they come right up where I can watch their acrobatic hovering to feed. It's a great product.

I purchased these to replace broken ones I had for another humming bird feeder that used the tubes. The tubes were fine but I could not get the plastic caps off to either fill it or to replace the plastic caps with the rubber ones that snap into the tube. My husband finally got one off for me to replace the one broken one. I have not gotten any more of the red plastic caps off, tho I have tried. On the one I was able to use, I put Vaseline on the tube before putting the cap back on. Hope that works. I used a towel to hold the tube to get the cap off so that if the tube breaks in my hand, I hopefully will not get cut.
