I have a slightly older version than the one pictured but I have to assume they are about the same.First off, for the price, you can't beat this!! It's economical and it does the job! You must fill the basin with hot water as this unit does not heat the water, but rather regulates the temperature, so if you use cold water, it will stay cold, if you use hot water, the temperature will remain hot.This unit offers also any combination of applied heat with massage OR just massage or just heat. The combo of heat AND massage makes the actual vibration less intense whereas using the message only function, allows for water to cool quickly and the massaging action is much more intense, almost numbing the foot...or at times making it tingle.Overall, it's a fine product- great for tired and achey feet. If you're looking for an economical product that relaxes your weary fet, look no further!
