Works well for quilting.
Love the ability to get my machine flush with the table surface. Able to accomodate a heavy machine.

Machine fit perfect
Love that I can hide my machine if I need to. Very well built. It wasn’t to hard to put together, I did it myself.

I Recommend NOT Buying this cabinet
I paid my Handyman $140 for two hours to assemble this. Fortunately all of the pieces were there and he didn't need the help line. It looked very complicated. Just so you know, the lift is very very stiff and takes a huge amount of pressure to go down into the cabinet. A weak or elderly person might find it impossible. I haven't figured out if the lift has more than the two settings--up or down. My old one had infinite settings--I miss it. After 30 years it just went bust. On the positive side, the teak finish is attractive, the wheels are a nice feature. The door closed evenly and true. The other option I toyed with was the cheap metal cart that had a shelf to manually lower or raise to position the machine where you wanted it. The machine was exposed and would have needed a cover. It looked tacky. This unit is just a plain cabinet and doesn't detract from my bedroom decor. When you add up the cost plus tax plus hired help to assemble it is not cheap. On the used market I found some old cabinets with lifts but being old I was afraid they would go bust like my old one. This one solves my problem. The other issue that is not spelled out very well in the description in using the setting on the lift that makes the sewing bed even with the table. For $129 or more Arrow will make you a custom clear plastic insert that covers the openings so you have a smooth sewing surface even with the table. Otherwise you will have gaps between the machine and the table. To get the custom insert you must go to the Arrow website and give the particulars of your machine.I have had this cabinet for awhile and I am not happy with it. If I had it to do over I would not buy it. I can't get the machine up and down without considerable strain and the addition of two 8 pound hand weights to help me (this was the suggestion of the manufacturer when I complained to them). It is extremely hard. The other problem is that the machine bottom is even with the table exactly as it would be if it were sitting on a table. I wish I had found a case for the portable head and used it on a table. I might try to sell the cabinet but it is highly unlikely I would get even pennies on the many dollars this rig cost me. It was a mistake.

Hard to push down for me
The size is perfect for my small machine or serger. Only complaint is since my illness it is hard to push down, so I call for help. My other one is easier. Maybe in time it will loosen up. Arrived with 2 damaged spots. Customer service is a B rating on getting me a replacement.

Too hard to use with a standard home machine.
The lift mechanism is very hard and has no adjustment. The description states up to 50 lbs, but it needs to state the minimum weight. When I called customer service, they said my machine did not weigh enough. It is 15 lbs. I couldn't return it since it was assembled before I could know this. I am very disappointed.

What I was looking for. Price is reasonable, assembly not difficult (best with 2 people).
