It's low odor and so easy to use!
I did my homework on a rust converter online and when searching Amazon I found this product to be a very inexpensive and an efficient way to refinish my clawfoot tub. I know that most of these products are used on cars parts or machinery but I sanded and sanded an old clawfoot tub but could not get the rust removed so I wiped it down when the product arrived and painted it on which was so smooth and simple, it's red (I wish it came in Black) but when I painted over it with my primer and hammered black spray paint it covered perfectly it paints on smooth the quality seemed amazing (make sure you stir it very very well before use) the cleanup was so easy cuz you can just wash your brush, hands and anything else you may get it on with soap and water if you're a messy painter. That little container amazingly covered my clawfoot tub with two coats (yes I follow the directions and waited before the second coat) with some left over (it was difficult but yes I followed the directions before I put my primer and paint on it) and I have to tell you my clawfoot tub turned out beautifully! I may have to wait years to see if it rusts but the paint adhered and I am a very happy person that I bought this product on Amazon!

Fantastic - 2.5 years and holding steady!
Novermber 2021 - I bought this and painted my hand rails. I scraped the bad rust spots, I applied two coats with a rubber glove inside of a sock turned inside out (it's the easiest way to paint railings - but use a NEW sock, you don't want lint and hair getting in the way). It's an orange/red color - and it didn't look bad. However, I live in an HOA and the railings must be black - so I used Rustoleum, again with the sock method and applied two coats. The photo is after the second coat, before the rustoleum. It's been 2.5+ years - and my railings still look great. I do have a couple of tiny spots where the Rustoleum has chipped - but the orange Xionlab is completely intact, hard as can be, and I don't see any additional rust spots on the concrete steps. I'll be touching up the tiny spots with more Rustoleum - and I mean tiny. I am really happy I found this - this stuff really works - I think it's going to be a VERY LONG time before I have to paint my railings again. Don't cheap out, just get it.

Works as promised- i was a little hesitate to purchase, but I am glad I did---IT WORKS...!!!!
I was a little skeptical to purchase this for what I needed it for-but I can tell you I am glad I did. I am currently Wet-sandblasting this truck frame. If you do not prep the frame fast enough after blasting you will get flash rust. I tried a few other products with no luck. I used this and I am more then happy with the end results. You will see in the pictures the frame looks gray after blasting it, and then I brushed the product on and the frame was not even 100% dry yet ( but I did prep before I applied this product ) and I was amazed how it went on. The big test was to see if the rust would bleed through the product and I can say it did not. This has been on the frame for about 5 weeks now and it looks perfect, I still have no put a top coat on it yet because I am not sure what color I am going to use yet. I have not tried spraying it yet, but I will be soon. I was not sure how well a water based product would hold up or even stop the rust from coming back-but I can tell you it works. And if you think it is expensive-trust me it is a bargain compared to the other products out there and sub par results. For what I have used it for- I can not recommend it enough. Read the directions and you will be good to go. I had originally bought the smaller container first just to try-and once I saw how well it worked I purchased the gallon. ***The first two pictures are after the frame was wet-sandblasted, the next to pictures are with the product on it.

Stir this REALLY well.
This is a good product and covered ok with a paintbrush. It's very thick and settled in the bottom so get a stir stick and get ready to stir forever. Once it's blended it's much less thick but thickens up on application. Didn't leave too many brush marks like I was afraid it would. I used this on my car hood and top. Left some white marks initially but they seem to be pretty much gone. Rust is covered good. The good part is that the red matched my car color fairly well.

Phenomenal Product
I write reviews on probably 5% of the stuff I buy, don't have the time. But this one deserve a review. I used this for the first time to paint the "under side" of my mower deck. It worked exactly as manufacturer describes / claims, and as the video on their site shows. It goes on very easily like any paint or primer would. I took before and after pictures, but have no time to upload them now, will do that later. Excellent coverage. I was amazed that I did 2 Generous coats using less than half of the Pint that I ordered [ 52" mower deck ]. Really Impressed ! It also fills in any cracks between welding points and then hardens leaving a harder and smoother surface, eliminating water and dirt "hiding places". Final surface is very solid. Obviously I just used it and the proof will be how it looks at the end of the summer after using the mower for the season. I am hoping that grass stops accumulating and clumping, as it is now a much smoother and cleaner surface than the rusty surface it used to be. Will write an update in October. ... I decided to download the pic's and post them, attached.

Fantastic product!
I first bought this product about 5 years ago. We live on the beach, and with the salt air, all of our metal products rust quickly. Five years after first painting our outside metal doors, they are still perfect with NO rust at all. (I have tried other "rust" paints and within a year things are rusty again.) It is water-based so easy clean up. It also keeps for a long time. When we opened the first can I bought 5 years ago, it was severely seperated, but after just a bit of mixing, it was great again. It is expensive, but WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Seems like Good Stuff
Obviously don’t know how it performs yet, but very pleased with the way it lays out well with great coverage. So far a little has gone a long ways. Extremely easy to work with. I keep a little drinking water on the table and give it a splash when it’s too thick. Been using the same brush all week by just putting it in a sealed Ball jar with a bit of water in the bottom…you end up using that brush rinse as paint as it gradually gains solids. To be honest, it reminds me of a ceramics glaze you used in grade school art class. I’m overcoating it with rattle can black. High hopes, we’ll see.

Automotive rust.
I've been in the auto body business for 30 years. I've seen every kind of rust in and on every place possible on a vehicle. I'll start by saying this will not fix your rust or remove it. This is a convertor that will bite into the oxide of the rust and seal it. And with that said it does a great job for it's intended purpose. So remember if let's say the bottom of your doors are cake rusted. Like 95% of all auto rust. It comes from the inside. Not the outside in. That bulging area is swelling from the interior panels. So if you purchase this. Make sure you knock as much of that cake rust off then use this liberally. Use it's thickness to your advantage and lay it on there. You'll easily see if it's sealed. Make sure it is completely sealed. Any opening allows moisture to get back under it and keep the process going and rusting. If you're mechanically inclined enough to remove the interior door trim panels. Do it and get it down inside there. Even if you have to put it in a squeeze squirt bottle and shoot it down in there. You will seal your rust off and add years to your panels. Same thing if you can get under the vehicle and get it back in the cavities of rocker panels and cab corners etc. Use the factory jig holes for access. If you can cover it all. You'll keep it all at bay for a long time. The average cost to replace rocker panels. Doors etc is in the thousands. Why not spend a hundred or so on something that def does work if you use it as they say but mostly cover ever bit of it. I've used ***** saver many times and good luck cleaning yourself or your tools. Because it's a mess. It works. But a mess trust me. This stuff will wash right off if you're prompt. I've had this on my f350 lower doors for 2 years and honestly don't take care of my truck at all. And the rust is still at bay
