not a good mouse pad to have for gaming
If you're using a higher end gaming mouse, be warned. If you have a tendency to pick up your mouse during game play, you will get slam clicks during game play.

Works very well for about one year.
Superb texture and feel when brand new. Not to mention the flawless tracking. But the fact that this being one of the earliest widely popular hard gaming mouse pads to have come to the market, it's construction is pretty outdated by today's standard. The main issue is with it's composite construction. A hard top material is mated with rubber non-slip material on the bottom. Which sounds good in theory, but as both materials slowly degrade through normal aging, they deform at different rates. As such, the rubber bottom will shrink way faster than the top material. Resulting an overall convex deformation. And it is completely unavoidable regardless how careful you treat it, as it's just basic material science at work. So unless you're planning to buy a new pad each year, I'd say avoid this.
