I had a bit of extra money recently, so I decided to purchase one each of the top candles and fragrances on Amazon that claimed to actually smell like rain (petrichor). If you search for that term, you'll find the ones I ordered and tried out. All of them are lovely, but most of them smell either like flowers or pine/cedar, or both. One smelled mainly like cantaloupe. But this one really does smell like rain. I think it's the "dirt" part of the "dirt and rain" title that makes the difference. The candle is pretty small, but I just like unscrewing the lid and smelling it when it's unlit. Well done, Only the Best Candles!

This candle doesn't smell like actual rain/dirt. It smells oser to wet dirt, like you just watered your plants and decided to stick your nose into it.I live in texas, and when I picked this up from my post box I left it in my car, where it melted in about 90 degreee weather. Some candle will lose their scent oils when this happens to the whole thing, but I stuck it into a fridge for a few minutes and it became solid again.The candelnitself is also extremely small, a bit smaller than half a soda can, including the container itself.Overall, I wouldn't reccomend it if you want the actual smell of rain, I was super dissatisfied with aspect, even if everything else was at least somewhat expected.Edit: have burned about a quarter of this candel, and haven't noticed any scents outside of the box itself. It also blows itself out quite easily at first, so overall a pointless candle. Dont waste the money on it.

i kmew it woupd be small but god damn is this a small candle. smells great but 25 dollars is absurd for the amount of product (or lack thereof) that you are getting

I have been searching for a candle that smells like the earth after a rainfall and was about to give up when I stumbled on this one. It is PERFECT. It has a nice earthy smell that wasn't too overpowering but strong enough I could smell it. My only complaint is that it is small and doesn't last too long (mine is already gone!)

I was expecting a much more rain/wet smell but it really just smells like dirt. I let others smell and they said it smelled like hunting clothes because it smells like mud/dirt. I wanted more of a rain smell not dirt. If you’re looking for very very earthy this is for you but for wet/rain this is not satisfying.

If I had found this on a store shelf I wouldn’t have bought it. It smells like just an ordinary candle you get at the dollar store. But after it’s lit for about 30 minutes you really get the full affect. Smells like summer rain but you may only get to burn it about eight times.

Soft delicious scent and the note was a plus.
