Beautiful clean sound for a great price.
If you're looking for that high end Focal sound without breaking the bank these are the speakers for you. High highs, good mids, and lows. Definitely buy from Woofers etc. Great prices and even better customer service!

Simply the best speakers I've ever had!
I installed this speaker set nearly five years ago in my VW Westfalia camper van. This is my third van and third sound system and I think I really got it right this time. I'm blown away with the sound quality that the component speakers offer. People who ride in my van are always commenting on how they didn't expect such good audio quality in my old van. At highway speeds, my van can get pretty loud and when I crank up the volume to overcome the ambient noise, I've never heard any distortion and it completely masks the van/road noise. The tweeters are mounted on the dash closer to ear level and the crossovers are mounted under the front seats. The speakers sound every bit as good today as they did 5 years ago.

High pitchy tweets
Can't beat the quality of sound these speakers produce for the price. A little high on the tweets though. Still haven't switched the selector to low on the crossover. Hopefully it balances out. As far as everything else, perfect center stage speakers

Great product and service from both.
Focal? You can’t go wrong. Unbelievable sound and clarity. Be prepared to hear things in songs you never heard before. Woofersetc? Top notch. I believe my 4 channel amp spiked and blew a tweeter the second day installed. I already had another amp and woofersetc sent me a new tweeter immediately. Great customer service.

Some Caveats With These Speakers
The three stars I'm giving this item is not meant as a rating on the sound quality but, rather, on the specific difficulties I had with the product. Read on and judge for yourself.I purchased this speaker system, together with a Kenwood DNX6990 HD navigation unit, to install into a 2007 Honda Odyssey. I ran into two problems, neither entirely the fault of Focal, though clearer instructions on the applications of these speakers would have been very helpful and, most likely, would have resulted in my purchasing a different set of speakers.Problem 1: This speaker set features a pair of tweeters, a pair of mid-ranges, and a pair of woofers. Together in a small vehicle, I'm sure the six speakers blend the sound frequencies well. Spread across any space say, larger than a Honda Accord, and the sound separation becomes too much. In my case, when sitting in the driver and passenger seats, only the highs and mids could be heard. People in the backseats heard only the base from the woofers. Sitting in the center seats resulted in hearing the best blend of sound. Unfortunately, not everyone can sit in the middle. While an audiophile would realize this might be a problem before purchasing them, a neophyte such as myself would not. Beware. These speakers are not for vehicles the size of large sedans and above.Problem 2: Clipping due, in part, to non-typical wiring. These speakers are designed to be wired together (in series). From the head units perspective, the 6 speakers might as well be one large speaker. Separate channels go unused. Impedance increases as a result. In my case this caused clipping to occur when pushing the volume to maximum. In other words, the speakers crackled. According to my installer, this wiring setup is not typical of what most people put in their cars, generally, head units with separate channels, and component speakers designed to work with those separate channels. He further indicated that, out of the factory, you only saw certain makes and models of vehicles use this set up, BMW, for example, being one of them. There's nothing wrong with the set up, per se, but it needs to be a consideration when choosing a head unit to work with this particular wiring. At this point I had two choices - install an amplifier to, hopefully, eliminate the clipping and ignore the over separation problem, or go with a different set of speakers. I finally opted to replace the Focals with "component" Pioneer speakers - tweeters in the dash, woofers in the doors, and two-ways in the rear, each working off separate channels. My system now sounds great with no clipping, and the speaker setup is a far better balance for my particular space.I don't want to trash these speakers completely. They sounded great right up until the clipping started. Too, the spacing issue was squarely my mistake, illustrating the danger of choosing your own speakers without speaking to a professional first. That said, Focal and their distributors should make the application of this speaker system clearer for people like me. The clipping issue, on the other hand, is more of a gray area, a result, in part, of Focal's odd choice of wiring setup. I'm sure in specific applications, with the proper hardware to make up for the non-typical wiring, these speakers would do fine. People should know this, however, before the purchase. If you purchase these, just be aware of what you'll be facing if you decide to go with them, and make sure you have the proper space, hardware and amplification.
