I use mostly 1/4" audio cables and prefer to use short pigtail 1/4" to XLR adapters like this when needed (usually going to XLR only mixers) instead of investing in longer 1/4" to XLR cables. I am happy with these cables. They connect properly with a good fit, and the price is decent for a serviceable connector cable (as opposed to molded cables). The 1/4" female end fits well, has a good positive click to retain the cable, and no issues with intermittent audio connection as is often the case for inexpensive 1/4" female adapters (like almost all molded 1/4" female adapters these days!). Like many cheaper cables with serviceable screw on shells, the shell can come loose. But the shell is a good design otherwise. A little Locktite on the threads would help with this. The XLR end fits well where ever I have used them and seems to be good quality. The male XLR version is a bit tight sometimes (depending on what I connect to), but not so tight that it causes an issue. The female XLR version's locking lever feels strong and well designed. The locating notch on both male and female XLR connectors is correctly designed (unlike some I have seen where the notch on the male connector is too shallow and very tight).
