Excellent, for experts
The thermal conductivity of this really can't be beat for the price. My CPU temps went down an average of 10 C, and on a Ryzen 6-core, that's saying something impressive.Installation was a pain, however. I wound up using some thermal compound on the very outside corners of my cpu block to stick this bad to the cpu well enough to install my heat sync. There is ZERO adhesion, and with the dangers of having a highly conductive material spread where it's not wanted, I'd only recommend this for people very comfortable with delicate work. The pad itself arrived in perfect shape. I was very pleased with the ease of cutting it to shape with an x-acto knife, but the material is so thin, so fragile feeling, you virtually need the hands of a surgeon to work with applying it to the cpu block.Overall though, it's worth the trouble if you have poor airflow, a warmer work environment, or just a cpu that's overpowered and could work as a space heater. The size pad I got will easily cover 4 cpu's, so keep that in mind. This is an unnecessary size for anything short of a threadripper style socket.

Great for Servers where Thermal Paste will Solidify to the CPU Cooler
Makes maintaining a computer much simpler. Cleaning and changing a CPU upgrade. Thermal Paste Solidifies if used in servers or high temp for long period of time, removing the CPU from the CPU Cooler will easily cause a loss of the CPU being destroyed. If your an overclocking use Liquid Metal. The key is to get a larger size than you need and have a little Overhang. AMD and Intel sizes are different. Always get the larger size 40 x 40 size

Not a good for AMD Ryzen 9 3900x
I have been using this for a while now and the temperatures are always on a higher side ~65 - 75 C when idle.I swtiched to paste and now I am seeing idle temp between 45 - 56 C.Used it with a Corsair 240mm H100i liquid cpu cooler.Won't recommend this at all.

Doesn't Work Well
Definitely no mess :) That's about it for the "pros". It did NOT cool better than a good thermal paste, and it is *very* difficult to get it to stay in place while you lock your cooler down. Yes, you can use thermal paste to get it to stick where you want it, but then what's the point? This item, plus thermal paste, is no better than thermal paste alone. I would not recommend this product (or similar) to a friend.

Not worth it unless you have a server
Did some testing on these not for overclockers so stick with your best paste.
