Voltaic Systems V75 Always On External Battery Pack with Dual USB Ports - 20,100mAh

It’s is an always on extra battery bank. I use this with a 9 V adapter for my electric lock for my door. It lasts forever. It’s a little expensive but it does what it says, and it doesn’t power off like most battery banks will not being used heavy duty quality metal body. It is what it is advertised I would buy more and I plan too soon.

This V75 is the third Voltaic Battery pack that I have purchased. It feels solid, has a substantial amount of power and just the right ports. I liked this so much that I bought it a second time, which is saying a lot since I own nearly twenty assorted battery banks. I use them an a bunch of electric vests, to charge gear, not only phones but also camera batteries and to run cameras! These Voltaic's claim to be always on, and I believe that is a function - while often found in USB-C ports is not a native feature to other USB port types. This product performs better than most if not all other banks that I own in three ways: 1] With a high powered charger it charges VERY FAST! 2] The dimensions are very efficient to pack the greatest capacity in the most compact shape. 3] The always on feature for the USB A ports allows me to use it with intermittently operated devices that I may want to operate remotely with the power shutting off at the bank, making the device unresponsive. Just as or perhaps even more important that the hardware performance is the human force behind the product, and I was particularly impressed with the ease and professionalism that the company backed their product, and replaced a unit in which only one port became defective! These battery banks are without a doubt the best looking, and best feeling packs to have and hold and dealing with the company has been a pleasure.

The solar charging + the always on feature are amazing. Using this with a 10w USB solar panel to charge and connected to a Wifi camera that's too far from the house to power it normally. If anyone is looking for that kind of setup, look no further. Other power banks will not provide power while charging. If they do, they are usually overpriced.

Everything about this is exactly what I need to keep my phone charging- unlike the non-apple battery cases where I have to press the button on the battery case to keep it charging- this keeps my phone and battery case charging continuously. It could be used to charge a phone with or without a battery case. The way I see it- it’s an extension of the battery case- extra battery power- plus it creates the advantage similar to the older apple battery cases- it keeps charging and no need to press a button to get it charging again. Suits my needs perfectly. I’ll update if there are any issues. Quality product. Very simple to use.

Unlike many power banks, this one does not stop providing power when a device only needs to sip little amounts of power. A "safety feature" of many power banks forces them to stop outputting power when they detect that the device plugged into them is fully charged or is only drawing tiny amounts of power. I needed to find a power bank that would continue to power devices that only draw tiny amounts of power. THIS IS THE ONE! It's perfect for this requirement. It also has another added benefit. It can be charged while it continues to power devices that are plugged into it. That's amazing for my application. (It can also be charged by a solar panel if necessary.) I'm now planning to buy at least two more for use in my projects that require this specialized power bank.

I tried various power banks, such as Anker and Move Speed and they all have timeouts as they are designed to charge devices rather than power devices. Even ones that have a low current mode didn't do the job. The Voltaic V75 been powering a 60mA device for six days (and counting) uninterrupted on a single charge. Other brands wildly exaggerate their capacity but the Voltaic capacity is much more accurate.

Bought this to power a series of watch winders, the others I tried wouldn’t stay on or power back on when the winders would draw power a few times a day. It only lasts for a couple days however and the units run months on a C battery, so I suspect there is a power loss cost to having it “on” and ready all the time. Still does the job but I think I’m wasting a lot of energy charging it up to wait 95% of the day for a power draw. I don’t have a better solution so will pay the extra cost for now.
