I ordered a silver one from another online retailer and was impressed with the light output from the size of the flashlight as well as requiring only 1 AA battery. I ordered this particular one because I didn't want to wait 2-3 weeks for shipping from China. I thought this was going to be the exact same one but in black. In fact, it is actually better in function and in build quality (Paint job is better as well as the holes that are drilled near the end cap). What the images don't show is that it is not just plain black, there is a logo on it. Mine says Cree on one side and UltraFire on the other. (My silver one has Sipik on it) The focus function works well with this one requiring a little more force to adjust compared to my silver Sipik one. Lastly, not mentioned on the site or the box itself (it just comes in a little white box and nothing else) is that this one actually has 3 modes of operation: Bright, Low, Flashing. To change modes, turn it on and lightly depress the button (not so far that it clicks off) and it will cycle through the operations. There is one con to this and it is that it does not remember the last function it was on. So turning it off and on completely will still cycle through the modes.I don't have anything to measure the light with other than visual observation but this one is just as bright as my silver one. It is definitely brighter than my 100 lumen Smith and Wesson flashlight. You can also supposedly get increased light output if you use expensive 14500 lithium batteries but I do not have any and at this time am not interested as the light output is more than enough. This is a great flashlight for its size and cost. Highly recommend.Update:I don't know why I didn't say so originally but unless you have tons of AA batteries, best route is to go rechargeable (unless you only occasionally use it). This flashlight drains through batteries quick. Not totally unexpected given the high output from a single battery. I'd estimate the run time to be around 40 min to an hour. I use this flashlight at work daily (I have to pop into ceilings quite often) and the light output is perfect for lighting up the area to see what I'm dealing with or focusing it so I can see something farther down. The focus is also good for pointing out something to other people when you don't have a laser pointer handy. I also caved and got a couple rechargeable 14500 batteries and they do make a significantly brighter output (visual observation again). Run time is still roughly the same. I can also see this coming in handy for defensive purposes at night simply because I have accidentally flashed myself and my coworkers before (Don't look into it, even momentarily, especially with a 14500 battery. Just take my word for it).

Dear friendsI've ordered 3 flashlights (one for my house, one for the car and the last one for my motorcycle), first I will start with the pros:- good build: it is all metal.- great light, with the option of a light click to switch between stronger light and alert modes (as another reviewer explained).The focus allows it to go from a somewhat distant 'search light' to a bigger area torch (well, almost).Now the bad:- I observed small metal fragments inside of the lens (which indicates that these things are assembled in a hurry). Not a big issue, I cleaned the lens just fine.- 1 flashlight is not working (Tried everything: replaced the battery, switched the socket cap for another one that is good, etc). This makes me nervous that the other two flashlights will not last or may start misbehave in near future.So, this is why I'm giving just 3 stars. I feel that if you buy a *LED* (supposedly reliable) flashlight, the last thing you will want is that it stops working when you actually need it.******* UPDATE *******The second one stopped working reliably after 1 week of sporadic use (I used it for what, tops 3 minutes in this time). Yeah... just counting the days for the last one to pass away.My final advice: stay way from this garbage. I would rather pay 3x for something that actually works (the last thing you want is that your flashlight stops working when you are in the dark).

I won't repeat too much of what has been said, but this is a great flashlight for less than the price of a footlong sandwich. Really bright, almost too bright for my typical use indoors, compact and seems solidly built. It doesn't come with instructions, so I thought I'd share the basic operation, which isn't immediately intuitive (at least not for me, it took a while to figure out).There are three light modes: full power, low power and strobe (flashing). There are three ways to press the switch: full click, half click and full click hold (press all the way down, hold for 2 seconds and release).Full click will turn the light on and off, and cycle to the next light mode.Half click will cycle to the next light mode without turning off the flashlight.Full click hold is the same as a full click, but it resets the light mode to full power. So if you want to guarantee the light will be set to full power the next time you use it, just keep the button pressed down for two seconds when you're turning it on or off. I always hold the button down when turning the light on or off, since the other two modes aren't very useful for me. Hope this is helpful.

I have these little lights all over my house, office, car, backpacks..anywhere I've ever needed a flashlight I've put one of these things. Out of the 15+ that I have bought, only one has died.. and I still feel I got more then my money's worth out of it. It honestly has replaced my surefire as my daily carry light, the combination of the standard battery size, light output, battery life and the fact that the thing is so cheap I just don't care if I lose it in a dark hole has just made this a win.-- edit -- Before submitting this review I took the "dead" light out of my desk and screwed around with it for a couple of minutes, ends up the button was a bit loose and needed to be pushed back in to place, it now works perfectly again.. I've included a picture so you could see the abuse it's taken.

Solid and reliable torch.

... wie manche Leute für eine LED-Lampe zum Preis von 1,53 EUR (in Worten Ein Euro und dreiundfünfzig Cent) inkl. Versand irgendetwas negatives schreiben können. Und sei es auch nur, ob die Lampe nun 750 oder 663 Lumen Lichteistung hat. Fehlt nur noch, das jemand sich darüber beklagt, dass keine Batterie dabei ist.Da ich nun schon einige LED-Taschenlampen in den verschiedensten Ausführungen besitze, war diese hier eine echte Überraschung.ich besitze vergleichbare Modelle z.B. für das Fahrrad. Die benötigen allesamt 3 Batterien des Typs AAA und ich würde die Nutzungsdauer auf vielleicht 10 -12 Stunden schätzen, bis die Lichtleistung spürbar nachlässt.Dieser kleine Kerl (die Lampe passt wirklich in eine normalle Männer-Hand und ist damit tatsächlich um einiges kleiner als die ohnehin nicht großen Modelle mit 3 Batterien), kommt erstaunlicher Weise mit nur einer Batterie des Typs AA aus und macht dennoch mehr Licht als die vorgenannten Lampenmodelle mit 3 Batterien. Die Lichtleistung ist mindestens genauso gut und die Nutzungsdauer der Batterie ist ebenfalls vergleichbar.Nicht nur wegen des unschlagbaren Preises ist die LED-Lampe eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.

Klasse Verarbeitung, hohe Leuchtkraft, Focus funktioniert super.Ein "ausversehendliches" betätigen vom Druckschalter kann ich nicht bestätigen, er ist leicht vertieft und hat einen guten Druckpunkt.Ich habe mir die Lampe für Servicearbeiten gekauft und sie kommt täglich, zum Teil auch mal mehrere Stunden zum Einsatz. Sie ist auf Grund der kleinen Bauform und des geringen Gewichts sehr gut für die Brusttasche der Latzhose und stört dort nicht. Die Klemme funktioniert super. Geringes Gewicht. nur eine Batterie/Akku benötigt.Mittlerweile habe ich mir für zu Hause noch eine zweite bestellt.Seit dem ich diese Lampe habe hat meine M**lite ausgedient.Aber Achtung:keine Mignon (AA) Batterien verwenden sondern Akkus!Ein Akku hat über einen längeren Entladezeitraum im Vergleich zur Batterie eine annähernd konstante Spannung bei Belastung. Sinkt die Spannung bei der Batterie schaltet sich die Lampe ab oder flackert.Anfangs hatte ich es auch mit Batterien versucht aber mit Akkus habe ich mind. 50% längere Leuchtzeit.

Es hat lange gedauert um diese Lampen zu bekommen. China halt. Aber die Lampen haben es in sich. Sehr hell und der Kegel lässt sich fokussieren. Ich mag die "Flutlicht" Einstellung, also breiter Lichtkegel. Di Fläche wird gleichmäßig ausgeleuchtet und man kann wunderbar etwas suchen oder seine Arbeitsfläche beleuchten. Überflüssig finde ich allerdings die Stroboskop Einstellung. Wer braucht sowas.Hab 5 Stück bestellt. Diese Lampe braucht man überall. Im Auto, in der Tasche, im Schreibtisch, in der Küchenschublade. Klein, handlich hell, funktionell. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Erster Eindruck: Die Lampe ist auf Modi 1 sehr hell (400 Lumen glaub ich aber nicht), auf 2 immer noch ausreichend für kurze Distanz, den Blink-Modus halt ich für überflüssig. Man muss halt immer durchschalten, der letzte Modus wird nicht gespeichert. Die Schiebefokussierung ist - im Vergleich zur LED-Lenser - schwergängig, was positiv ist, denn so verstellt sich auch nix in der Tasche.Für die Größe ist sie - da aus Metall - rel. schwer (85g incl. Batterie), schaut m. M. nach häßlich aus und liegt auch nicht besonders angenehm in der Hand. Aber für den Preis ganz ok. Haltbarkeit muss sich noch rausstellen.
