Great product for charging my LiPo batteries. Haven’t actually had to put it to the test yet, but this gives me peace of mind that if a battery to light on fire then this would contain it. I just wish it had the opening on the top like the mid-sized batsafe. However, for the price it is great and I usually charge two batteries in it at a time with two different chargers.

There seems to be confusion and different versions of this out there. No guarantee you will receive an updated version since it's shipping from different resellers, but here's what it looks like. I highly recommend getting multiple smaller Bat-Safes because if a battery goes up in smoke, it should be isolated to only itself and not other batteries. Photo of that happening to me also provided. This small Bat-Safe fits my Traxxas Maxx full sized battery (fills battery tray completely with spacer removed).

I should have ordered the larger one to charge 2 at once. This box only has space for 1 battery. Additionally, order extension charging cables/balancer wire as the charging cables from my charger won't reach through the top of the Bat Box to the battery.

Awesome quality construction just like all BatSafe products! This model was just too small for my needs and did not have anyway to run cables for a battery or a parallel board into it without mashing the cables in the lid seal. Not about that. Would probably be awesome for bringing batteries to the field, but I couldn't justify the price tag for that.
