Start-X Remote Starter Kit for RAM 2500, 3500 (2019-2024) | NOT 1500

After reading about this on a Ram group on FB, I took the chance. I was surprised when I had called my local dealer and they said it would be over $700 to install a remote start on my truck, when some have it right from the factory. It seemed like I just needed a new fob and them to activate the software but they made it seem like a big deal. Come to find out with this kit you can use your existing factory fob and besides some quick plug and play on connectors and programming, you're off and running in only like 30 min. On a 1 to 10 difficulty scale to install, I would put this around a 2. (1 is the easiest). If you have access to a 7mm wrench or socket (you can likely use an adjustable or plyers in a pinch), and a PC to program it...you're good. Follow the directions exactly as they state and things go smoothly. Highly recommend for those wanting remote start on a non-OEM remote start Ram 2500 2019-2022.

I ordered this a few months ago. I watched a video on how to install this before I received it and, after it came in, was able to install it in about 30 minutes after work one day. I have a 2022 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 Cummins. I really wondered how it was gonna work with the diesel during the winter due to the grid heater needing to kick on, but it worked great. When it’s cold, it takes a little longer to start. When it’s warmer, it starts up a little quicker. The wiring process was super easy. It plugged right in the exact way the instructions said. I used my laptop and did everything from my front seat. Would definitely buy this again if I ever get a truck that doesn’t have it! 100% recommend! If anything changes, there will be an edit and a drop in stars but, until then, 5⭐️!

Just installed. Works great and super easy to install. No splicing, just plug in 2 things, a little programming and your done. Can't beat the price. Only about 15 minutes of actual effort. Took me about 40 minutes real time, but it is 13 degrees out so spent more time coming back in to warm up than doing anything. Makes me smile everytime I use it and get in to a warm car. Highly recommend!!!

This is the second one I've purchased and installed. I installed this one on my 2024 Ram 3500 Big Horn by following the instructions. When I got to the step where I had to flash the control module it would not flash. I tried calling customer support but could only leave a voice message. I repeated all the steps a few times and finally the module flashed as it should. After that the installation was a breeze. Tech support did call me back after a few hours but by then I had already completed the installation. The tech guy said I was the second person that day calling about the flash issue. Maybe it was just a glitch in their system as you do have to download software onto a computer to flash the module. I still recommend the product as it is nice being able to remote start my truck on those hot and cold days.

The directions > instructions feels lacking when it comes to the specific step by step procedures. Because of this, a 10-15min job turned to 1-2 hours. I have a 2021 RAM 2500 Tradesman. I took a gamble since the some of the reviews mentioned that the product will work on newer 2500. And yes it does works on 2021 RAM 2500. PROs: Super easy to install. (Read the instructions VERY CAREFULLY!!!). This is a 10-15min job. 1. Unscrew the plastic panel bottom driver side. 2. Pop off the light switch to access the blue box to plug the cable. (look at the picture) 3. Locate the cable behind the start/stop bottom. 4. Unplug that cable and connects the "Y" cable they provide. (halfway done) 5. Before you plug the little black box they provide with the package, grab a laptop and follow the instructions to connect the little black box to your laptop USB. You must download the iDataLink software and detect the device. 6. You don't have to register, it will automatically detect and log you in the software. 7. Look for the yellow button "Connect" to update the firmware. Once firmware is updated, 8 Disconnect from the laptop and plug the little black box to your RAM. 9. PLUG ALL THE WIRES, (White, blue, and black) in this sequence. (FOLLOW THE START/STOP procedure). 10. LED green light on the little black box will blink solid for TWO SECONDS. You're done! CONs: The Instruction manual that they provides lacks specifics. Their website to get support or information is VERY SIMPLE. Most of the frustration others who tried this product can be solved if they have a Q&A forum. Another great options in the iDataLink software, you can customize some of the functionality.

Definitely worth buying, very very easy installation of the module and with basic knowledge of computers makes this product a breeze to have. Took me 30-45mins to install

The starter works like a champ and is pretty easy to install and configure. It took me a bit longer than it should because I didn't slow down during the programming phase and actually didn't program it the first time. They aren't specific in the instructions on where each plug goes into the module so take your time when plugging it in and follow the steps below so you don't waste time. Other than those minor things, I am very happy with the install and my truck now has remote start. 1: Create your account on the flashing site first. Do this before you even disconnect anything in your truck. This will save you some time. 2: connecting the harness is pretty easy but if you are a big guy like me, it doesn't hurt to have a smaller buddy or your wife there to help you reach everything. 3: When connecting the harness to the module, connect the black lead first. I then connected the larger white lead (on the other side and then the blue lead next to the white one. I didn't do this in the right order the first time so I had to disconnect everything and start over. 4: When you have followed the first five steps in the instructions and are ready to remove the module for the programming phase, remove the connectors in the reverse order removing the black lead last. If you don't do it in the right order, you will have to start over. 5: Programming is really easy but for some reason the site for programming only works with IE. I went through every browser since IE is deprecated so save yourself the hassle and just go straight to IE (if using windows). 6: After programming, remember to connect the black lead first when reconnecting it to your truck. Follow the last of the programming steps and you should now have remote start. PROS: A lot cheaper that going to a dealer or third party installer Works with the OEM key fob so there is no added expense. Pretty easy install as long as you read and follow the instructions. CONS: Their instructions need to be written better. Fairly easy to figure out the blanks (at least it was for me). However, if you don't pay attention, you could cause yourself a lot of grief and wasted time. The site for programming their module only works with Internet Explorer. This may not be an option when Windows 11 is released which is soon.

Easy install, watched their install videos while waiting for delivery. Followed the instructions and then flashed the module like they instructed with a PC in the house and is working as advertised. I timed the install and it only took me 30 min to install, including downloading the software, registration, programming the module, final install and placing the warning sticker under the hood. This is a 2021 Ram 2500 Tradesman with a 6.7L. I installed this on a cold day with a cold engine, engine pre-heat works as expected, with no change to start protocols. This truck was already wired with the hood latch sensor, so it will not auto start with the hood open.

As described very easy plug and play install and straightforward programming. Only tested function so far a few times but works as it should so far. Used on a 24 ram 3500 Cummins push to start

installed on a 2024 ram 3500 diesel works great make sure to follow installation guide i can be little tricky other than that easy plug and play unit
