Outstanding Beginner's Guide To Hydroponics Gardening
With a hydroponics store opening up in my little town, I was curious to learn more about hydroponics gardening and to see if it was something for me. Lilibeth’s book was the perfect guide. Comprehensive yet complete making it a quick read and easy learning experience. Just reading the advantages I knew this was something I wanted to pursue and with children I knew it could be fun as well as an excellent teaching adventure. There are different systems to choose from however this resource made it easy to choose which project was right for me. I was impressed at the knowledge of being able to design and build my own versus a ready-made kit making this a wonderful DIY project. I loved that the directions and tips were very easy to follow from what to plant to troubleshooting it’s all here. I really love the raft idea and can’t wait to get started. I don’t believe beginners can find a better resource on the subject of hydroponics gardening.

Grow a plant using nutrient-enriched water... A must try!
Wow, this is great! This is the first time I have learned about this way to grow a plant and I am so happy I encountered this book. I've always been fascinated with the idea of gardening but I just don't have any space for it. Now with this new knowledge, I can grow plants even in the small limited spaces of my home. The instructions on how to set this up are very detailed and I really appreciate that the author suggested different fruits and vegetables that can and cannot grow in a Hydroponic Garden. This would be very helpful for beginners like me who would like to try Hydroponic Gardening and be successful the first time around. Try out this new method of gardening and you might develop a new hobby that will be worthy of your time.

A complete waste of money and time.
0 stars, if this book for longer than 40 pages it might be worth using as kindling to start the barbecue. Spelling and grammatical errors start on page 1, there are no diagrams or pictures and no glossary in the back. I learned far more by watching a 20 minute YouTube video.

Just Use Soil/Water/Nutrients/Sunlight And Skip This Faddish Nonsense Book
I have yet to find a comprehensive book on this subject and this is no exception. Its content is thin, largely uninformative and very frustrating. In fact, the whole area of hydroponics seems to be a closely guarded secret. A good local, brick and mortar store is the best place to find out about how to grow hydroponically. After several months of giving hydroponic growing I've concluded the big secret is that it's tedious, often fails, needs a lot of space, loads of expensive equipment, special lighting and, in the end produces a smaller crop than simply using the traditional soil/water/nutrient/sunlight method farmers and gardeners have been using to tens of thousands of years.

Book about the art of growing plants without soil.
I planted a lot of herbs and hung them by the kitchen window. Herbs are quite difficult to grow and maintain because they are too sensitive. I always have to be careful every time I water them because too little or too much water could harm their growth. Though it was not mentioned that hydroponic method can also be applied to herbs, the DIY Hydroponic Window Garden system is something I know I can do and will be very beneficial to my plants. This book gave me good information about hydroponics and its basics, however, a few illustrations could have made it a little more helpful especially for people who does not have any idea about unconventional gardening. The art of hydroponics is very interesting, if this gardening system interests you, you will be able to learn more about it using this book.

This really satisfied my interest in starting hydroponics.
Wow, so this is an interesting topic. I'm a very amateur gardener and I only have one plant: a peace lily. What drew me to this topic is that I heard hydroponics can be used indoors. Much to my satisfaction, the author shows that this can succeed in urban apartments, which is my exact situation! She gives various DIY methods on how to start hydroponics. Coupled with this is a lot of background information into the history and benefits of the hobby. In some cases, I wish the author went more in depth. For example, she mentions that we can deter spider mites with a cayenne pepper spray solution, yet she doesn't go into how to make it. Overall this was a satisfying introduction into hydroponics. I would highly suggest pictures to be included with the instructions though.
