USB to RJ45 RS485 Serial Programming Cable for Delta IFD6500 Communication RS485 Adapter Converter Cable Support Win10

I bought this expecting to have to return it as I needed an RS485 controller for my very old LightORama Christmas lights controller. This was about 1/2 the price of a replacement from the manufacturer, but I'm delighted to tell you that it works flawlessly. It is also nicely made, clearly follows the normal conventions on wiring for this type of unit and has a cute flashing blue LED to let you know it is awake. No drivers required on Windows 10 the PC sees it as a normal serial port that thanks to the driver chip has a 4000ft range! Overall I'm delighted with this purchase.

Great little adaptor for my collection. Worked first time with no issues was able to download parameters from a Schindler VDF, worked great to monitor these vfd’s .

Light flashed. Updated all the drivers but still no communication

I used different software and in all of them the dmx lights were blinking frequently, it is because of the data rate it transmits, it is not fluent and slow i guess, I even tried modifying the data rate in the usb driver and didnt work. I bought A real decoder like Daslight and never got that headache 😅.

COMM port active...works great. Just be sure to install the proper driver.

I cut it open to see if A/B were crossed but no voltage on either of the lines.

L'ho acquistato per programmare un azionamento della Schneider Electric che costa 5 volte tanto e che, come al solito in questo periodo, avrebbe richiesto più di un mese per la consegna: arrivato il giorno dopo, funziona perfettamente, consigliato anche al mio cliente che ne ha comprati altri due per i propri tecnici.

Funktioniert wie erwartet. GND auf der Platine nicht angeschlossen aber das war funktional kein Problem.
