Quality writing instrument for a decent price.
This is a HEAVY fountain. pen. This gives it a masculine feel so would be a perfect first pen for a man. In fact it's so heavy it writes better if you don't put the cap on the back of the pen. That's an important detail since most modern fountain pens are light, and balance better with the cap on back. Not this one. It's perfectly balanced if you just place the cap off to the side and start writing. The chrome finish is beautiful. I got the medium nib, and it's pretty big. But it's perfectly accurate even for smaller letters. Writes well on a cotton based paper.I am using one of the black ink cartridges that came with the pen. Surprisingly the ink is very dark and flows well. This pen also comes with a rechargeable ink tank. I will be curious to see if the pen nib works as well with bottled ink. Pelikan is my favorite brand but this nib may be flowy enough that some of the UK inks will work with it.My only complaint is that the machining on the threads for the cap felt rather rough and gritty when screwing it off and on. However as I use the pen more those threads are wearing in nicely and should get smoother over time.

A quality writing experience for a low cost.
It's a very smooth writing experience for the money. I've spent a lot more and been very disappointed.Right out of the box the pen had a nice consistent ink flow with one of the provided cartridges. I haven't tried the converter yet but I will and will update my review.Everything was easy to use, easy to disassemble and clean, and it is a sturdy feeling pen.The presentation box was especially sharp and very nice.My only constructive criticism to the manufacturer is to work on the threading of the cap and barrel, they are not smooth and there's just too many rotations needed for opening and closing the cap.But overall, bravo! I'll definitely be buying another of these down the road. Please continue to improve and produce Wordsworth & Black fountain pens.

Good pen for the price.
Handsome pen & case. Nice weight, balanced. Price was under $30.00. Writes very well. Larger in diameter than expected. Ink provided is too thin, blots frequently. Only got 4 pages of print per cartridge. Changed to higher quality ink, had much better results. Screw on cap: threads are a bit loose making this great pen feel a bit cheap. Tighter threads would result in a richer feel and less clattering when removing / replacing the cap. Threads on nib are tighter and don't have that issue. Overall, great pen for the price and I'm happy with it.

Worth the price
Very smooth writing and it comes with both cartridges and a well. Good value for the money spent, I liked the colors. The gold and clip seem just a little delicate, but it looks nice and works. (A lot of time more expensive pens don't really work that well.)

A true joy to use
I have not written with a fountain pen in years. I was surprised how smooth this pen writes. It has taken some time and practice to get use to using a fine instrument such as this. It is a true joy to write again. It has also improved my penmanship which grew sloppy over time. I am looking at buying another pen but with a fine point instead of a medium point.

Okay writer but to make it better, swap the nib.
This pen looks amazing but it is clear it is not a quality piece. Functional for sure but the nib is scratchy and the line is a little leaky compared to something like a good waterman. I realize there’s a clear price difference between the two but there is no real good reason for the loose tolerances in the cap and screwing in after changing ink is wobbly.

Solid fountain pen
I really like this pen. Good weight and balance. The fine nib provides a smooth flow of ink. I like fountain pens with screw caps for greater security, and this has that feature. It is not as tight as other fountain more expensive fountain pens I have, but for the price, this is a solid choice.

Great Fountain Pen, but a Little Heavy
Overall I really love this pen. I got the medium nib and it is very wet and smooth. Since this is a metal pen, it is very heavy so after a while your hand gets tired holding it.As for the design, I really think it's neat and very classic looking. The only complaints that I have about the pen is that when I first got it, when you unscrewed the cap it was almost like nails on the chalk board. It wasn't as smooth or quiet as my other metal fountain pen. After working with the pen that seems to be going away. In time I expect that this pen will be as quiet and smooth uncapping as my other pen.The other complaint is that it takes 5 turns to remove the cap. In my limited experience with pens, most of the time it only takes at most 2.5 turns. Due to the amount of times it turns to get the cap off, this is more of a pen that you're going to have to set aside some time to use. To be honest, this is probably the more annoying part of this pen and is the only thing that is keeping me from using it as a daily writer.Update: I have three of these pens, the black, red, and pinstriped one. After about a year, I went to go use the red one and found that it appears to be covered in micro-cracks. At first I thought that something got on it but closer inspection shows there are tons of small cracks. The black one is fine, just the red one.
