First thing the locksmith said was this fob probably won't work and after he tries to program it it will be locked/bricked and I can't return it to Amazon. I had already read forums on which aftermarket fobs worked so I went with my gut and insisted on using the one I purchased instead of an OEM one that he had brought with him. In no more than 15 minutes he had it programmed and key cut. He said he's never seen any of the BMW aftermarket fobs work that was purchased from Amazon or eBay. All said and done it was 300.00 which I thought was expensive but what do you do. It's cheaper than buying the programming machine for 10k. If you are buying this with the intention to program it yourself by watching a few videos on YouTube you will be wasting your time. You must have a scanner that links to the vehicles computer.

These are good solid replacements all programmed fine using my programmer, my customers are happy and I even made one for my daily driver also the center button is the perfect fitment to put on the OEM key emblem part number 66122155754 and the price was very fair it is hard to find a key that works and works well with comfort access. Keep in mind as I seen asked many of times you do need someone to program these and BMW does not program any keys they order them from VDO then sync them. So the dealer will not be able to help but a Euro specialist like myself will. There are many services offered on eBay for being able to pair these keys to your BMW's CAS module. Tools to do that on your own cost in the thousands but specialist like myself tend to do this service at a very fair rate.

Key is not compatible with a stock 2011 328i sedan. My original key has the same exact part number that i received and it is not programmable. (Typo corrected)

Do a lot of research before spending on these "keys". Us "normal" people cannot program these and the places that do will only program the keys they sell. When you buy directly through BMW the key comes programed. Ignore all the program it yourself videos and instructions as they simply are not true.

It was easy to program. Make sure you buy the correct key for your vehicle though. There is a difference in MHz for different models. I bought a few different keys from other sellers. The other keys sometimes didn’t work even though the MHz was correct for my car. Do your research.

Good option if your car keys doesn’t work anymore

It was not compatible with my 2009 BMW X5 Unless I did something wrong may be for first gen X5 cheap and sturdy though
