these batteries are expensive but worth every penny with reliability and durability of ego products. since switching to electric i will always chose them over any gas tool for ease of use and no regular maintenance being required

Lasts reasonable amount of time and charges quickly. No problems.

Batteries never last as long as we want them to, but these work as described. We have numerous EGO tools, so we have a few extra batteries.

It takes a little while to charge. I am used to the 4.0 Ah battery I use on my leaf blower. That charges in no time it seems. I have and power supply that I received as a gift and I outfitted it with this 5.0 battery. It has a 120 volt outlet and a few small sockets for cell phone and other electronic uses. Plus a built in light that is really handy in case of a power outage. Next power outage, I'll find out what this battery can do. For fun, I plugged it into a floor fan to dry a freshly wet mopped floor. It ran for ten minutes, and the power didn't even drop on the indicator light. I have a hunch this will be handy down the road. I'm glad I got the bigger battery.

Holds a charge well and the battery “fuel/charge” light is big and easy to see for amount of charge in battery.

Works great. So far only mowed my back yard, but still had 3/5ths of the power left. Stick with the brand name. Ego is a good product.

Battery is used to operate several EGO tools, and last most of the day, only problem they are very expensive to replace. Once the batteries die I will be switching to another brand the people are saying work better and are not as expensive.

An early, weaker battery, for the EGO tools eventually failed, but the higher end battery has worked like a charm. I have two of these now, which I alternately charge, and they power the lawn mower, hedge clipper, blower, and wire trimmer, and I never run out of power. I don't use the electric chain saw (still have a 2-stroke gas-powered engine for this) but love the rest of the tool set that EGO offers. The drawback is the price -- paid close to $600 Canadian for the mower, but it is very nicely designed. Overall, worth the investment -- just hoping the company is around long enough for servicing and replacement -- there's a lot of competition now in this market from the longterm powerhouse tool companies.

I'm using the EGO system for all outdoor use around the house, lawnmower, trimmers, and snowblower. They all work perfectly and Im now able to recharge them from my solar array, reducing costs further. The seller was very helpful in his handling and refund of the duty fees I incurred.
