Awesome silicone baking dish!

This is actually one of the first silicone baking pans that I have bought. I really like it too. I made brownies in it the day I received it and they were perfect and so easy to take out of the pan. I will definitely be using these every time I bake. It came nicely packaged and had a paper that listed the other items available to purchase, I was excited about this because eventually I will want a full set of these to use. The best part was the ability to get the brownies out of the pan easily, I hate it when a cake gets stuck in the pan and you have pieces still stuck inside. This usually happens during a party or something and there is not time to replace the cake. This is not something that will happen with these so I will be taking very good care of them.I bought these at a discounted price in exchange of my honest review.

I bake cakes from time to time and I always have problems with the cake sticking no matter what I try. I decided to give these silicone pans a try and they are awesome!First of all there was no harsh smells to the silicone pan at all. I know some silicone products have questionable scents to them but these seem to be of high quality. They are very flexible so if you use them you might need to put something solid like a cookie pan under them. I cannot fit 2 of these on a regular cookie sheet. I tried. I just ended up putting them in the oven like I would a regular cake pan. No issues. Just make sure you put in carefully so they don't spill. Coming out of the oven no issues. I just make sure to pick them up with both hands. My cake did not stick and it was moist and delicious!

Overall, I really like this cake pan. I bought it while ago and wanted to use it several times before I reviewed it because I wanted to give it a fair chance as it is my first experience with using silicone to bake in. That said, I am now looking toward getting a silicone muffin pan and/or muffin liners because I am enjoying this product.Firstly, the shipping was fast and came well packaged. I really loved the pamphlet that was included by the company. It was incredibly informative and I really needed it as it was my first time with silicone. The pamphlet outlined how to use the cake pan (including things to not do to it), the benefits of using silicone, and answered several FAQs. It also included a little add for the silicone muffin pan along with information specific to that product and a discount code. I thought this was really great and helpful. I read al the instructions on how to use it before using it. I read somewhere that you can tell if something is real silicone by bending it - if the color cracks, it is supposed to be some sort of silicone mix; if it does not crack, it is supposed to be real silicone. I bent this product as many ways as I could and as harshly as I could and it didn't crack or show any signs of not being one solid piece of purple silicone. I am very glad to see this as I wouldn't want to cook food in something that could contain BPA or something other than silicone.The first time I used it, I made a very dense vegan chocolate cake. I was nervous about it sticking due to it being so dense (and because the recipe said to) so I did spray the pan with oil and dusted it with cocoa before adding the cake batter. It is possible that doing this is what caused me to give this 4 stars instead of 5. I baked the cake and it came out of the pan perfectly (of course!). I was making a double layer cake so I washed it and prepared to bake the second layer but noticed that the cake pan had stained. Again, this may be because I dusted it with cocoa but it did stain it in several places pretty significantly. I scrubbed with various cleaners but it still has clumpy areas of brown stain on it despite having used it for another cake since the two chocolate cakes. All of this said, it does not effect the function of the cake pan and I honestly do not care about the look of the pan, I just wanted to give an honest review for those that do care about stains on their cookware.The next time I used it, I made a spiced pumpkin cake and did not spray it with anything nor dust it. It cooked evenly and slid right out of the cake pan. I was very happy. Just a note, I did, as is suggested, place a cookie sheet below the cake pan to ensure stability while I transferred the cake pan filled with batter into the oven. Worked great! I also loved how the cake pan did not continue to bake the cakes once out of the oven and how the pan was cool shortly after I removed it, making it really easy to turn it out onto a cooling rack.So, overall, this is a great product that I will enjoy having in my kitchen. In fact, I enjoy how little space it takes up and how it can be squished among all of my other kitchen items rather than being another stiff metal pan to contend with.I did receive this product at a discount for my honest review and I am so glad that I did!
