Cup Galaxy (Violet) - The one Size Menstrual Cup

The Merula One Size Menstrual Cup is the perfect menstrual cup for me. I appreciate that the menstrual cup is reuseable because I can reuse it as often as needed. I love that this menstrual cup is made out of Silicone and in a beautiful color. I like that the rim of the cup does not create a lot of pressure because it helps with cramping. What I love the most about this menstrual cup is that it can be used by people like me that have a lower cervix and heavy flow. It is easy for me to use. I use the punch-down fold, rotate the cup in the right direction, and then lightly squeeze the bottom of the cup that makes it pop open. To remove, I push the side against the other side of the cup, and then I gently pull the cup out with the ladder that's attached to the cup. This menstrual cup is labeled one size because it is customizable for all cervix heights. I chose to keep only the first rung of the ladder for my personal fit. The ladder can be folded up until you are ready to trim the ladder for a more customizable fit if needed. The ladder is very soft. I don’t feel it. I’m really grateful to the lady that made this menstrual cup. In the menstrual cup world, people with my menstrual cup needs are usually shoehorned to the smallest cup that’s typically made for lighter periods and very young girls. This cup feels like it was made for me—not an afterthought. That’s why it is my favorite menstrual cup. I wear this menstrual cup along with a bamboo or cotton velour pantyliner for backup and residual blood (not a leak). I am elated to have a sustainable period. I am happy to have all of my period products that make me feel good at home ready to use when needed.

My body changed a lot after my second baby. I used to wear cups with no issues... Then my pelvic floor went out the window and I couldn't wear them as they would fall out. I'm now at a place where they stay in... Kinda. I had to get a stemless cup as the bottom part would pop out after a while. So I got this since it's a shorter cup. Stem is still an issue, but after I fully removed the stem and shaved the edges down, it's much more comfortable and most importantly, stays in. I really do wish this company made stemless cups.

I decided to purchase based on the fact that it would work for a low cervix AND heavy flow! It's very hard to find cups that are short and hold a lot, and I needed that especially for night time. It has now become my favorite cup and the other 3 I had hit the trash. I just ordered a second one to have a backup if I happen to start while out and about. It's soft, but not too soft, easy to insert with a simple punch down fold. I only wish they had other options for less capacity which would make it a little smaller width wise like 40mm because it does push on my bladder while wearing and that can become slightly irritating at times.

This was the first menstrual cup I tried and it worked great and is easy to apply. And the pull string thing is adjustable.

This is my second menstrual cup I’ve tried, and I can say with absolute certainty I will never have to try anything else. This cup works perfectly for me as a woman with an extremely low cervix. The structure is soft enough to make insertion a breeze yet sturdy enough to pop back into shape with a standard punch fold. I find the low height perfect for my body - it has a large capacity and can hold my heaviest flow for 12 hours yet it is short enough to sit inside comfortably. I sometimes forget that it’s there, or that I’m even on my period at all, which is the main goal. I couldn’t recommend this cup enough!!

When it works it barely works, I have used this for a couple cycles and today I woke up and it was upside down, I had placed it securely (at least I had thought so) and woke up with the opening almost completely facing the floor. I have been using reusable cups for years and have never had this many problems with a cup.

Update: After some physical therapy, this cup works fine. I'm glad I didn't give up on it. I've amended my rating to reflect this.I was so happy to try this cup as it advertised that it works with any state of pelvic floor. It does not, in fact. It didn't stay in place and leaked even after several attempts.
