My mother’s right foot turns inward, making it hard to keep it on the wheelchair’s footrest. This was a perfect solution. She can now have her leg and foot resting where it’s comfortable and I don’t have to worry about it falling to the ground while pushing her.

Bought this for my mother l, and it helped, but would definitely have been a lot better had it extended a bit more so she could have extended her legs and feet a few more inches. Well-made and sturdy.

This was purchased for a patient who sits in a wheelchair approximately four to six hours per day.She really liked the comfort the rest extender gave her because she was able to move her legs a little more freely without them dropping off the wheelchair pedal like rests. .I reccomend this item, however when getting a custom chair make sure this item is a part of the package.

Did not work for her wheelchair. Didn’t feel like jumping through hoops to return it through Amazon so using it as a seat cushion.

We needed an extension for my mother-in-law's transport chair because she moves her feet without thinking and they would slip between the two foot supports and sometimes get stuck. There are some high-end wheel chairs that address this problem but we really only needed to remedy the problem on the existing transport chair. After some searching, this foot extender appeared to be the only product on the market that modifies an existing chair. The idea is very innovative but use of the product requires removing and reattaching the extender piece every time you fold the chair up. Since we are using a transport chair that means every time we get in or out of the car this piece has to be removed and then reattached.Also, the method to attach the foot extender to the chair are two adjustable strong clip straps. The straps hold the back of the foot rest securely in place on the chair. However, the base or foot rest portion weakened and slipped out of position within a month's time of daily use. Then my mother-in-law's feet began to slip forward off the foot rest making the chair uncomfortable for her to sit in. The L- shaped base needs to be better connected and made of more durable material especially if the person in the chair wears shoes.After a month's time we stopped using this item because it wasn't doing the job that we hoped it would do and it was cumbersome to attach and remove. I wouldn't recommend it,

This is a gift for a granny and she loves it. Whenever she went out , people praise her for the leg rest and she is happy. It looks very comfortable.
