A protocol for everyday use
This book comes as a much needed addition to the occupational therapist who works with Sensory Integration. The therapist is taken in a progressive logical manner from evaluation to treatment, and then to documentation of the efficacy and success of the therapy. There is a great need in the field to link the hypothetical approach of Ayre's Sensory Integration to real life participation. This book helps the therapist to explain the link to parents and other professionals, so that they can see why a child playing a pirate who is jumping off a 'raft' into a ball pit, might actually attend better in the classroom. These links are clear to the occupational therapists, but are often unclear to those outside the profession. Practical examples in a variety of sensory integrative problems are given. This book should aid therapists by organizing an evidence-based evalation, efficent intervention, and communicating the science based approach that will result in greater participation in their classroom and community. Very practical..

Awesome book!
I just devoured your new Clinician guide last night. It is worth every penny! I really liked how it was organized. It seemed easier to read than the other books I have read, but maybe it is also because I have more experience now too. I just really like how well you were able to articulate all the things we do in a session to make it successful - so much we take for granted is so nice to see it spelled out. I am excited for the future of ASI research. We are having so much success at our clinic we are on a constant high there. So glad to be a part of this, Mary- OhanaOT.com

Realmente es una guía muy cara. Está bien organizado en cuanto a contenidos, y es una referencia para todo TO especializado en IS.

Even after 18 yrs in OT and much of that in paeds, every now and then, you find a gem of a book, that is clear, impacts practice and doesn't just repeat information in other OT texts. Brilliant for those training in SI or those in ASD wanting a better understanding of sensory processing. Plus brilliant resources on included the usb flash drive. Don't be put off by the price! Worth every penny. Should be in every OT teams library, if not your personal one.

Painfully expensive but can’t really do without. There are a couple of typos in the text but it’s a must have when learning ASI

Really nice and clear manual. I used this a lot during my Sensory integration training. It was worth the money and will probably continue to deliver.

A great book. A must have for ease and increased understanding/expertise of implementing SI in the clinic setting.
