Staedtler 12.34 oz White Fimo Soft Polymer Clay, Multicolor

Bought this because of SugarCharmShop's favorable review of it. Has helped sculpting small figures and objects become a fun pastime. It is definitely firmer than some cheaper polymer clays but I also find this helps it hold tiny details better. Fimo has never cracked or burnt in the oven for me either. Liquitex acrylic paint sticks well to the baked product. Like others I have also observed that allowing the clay to bake for 10-30 minutes instead of just the 10 minutes listed on the package and letting it cool slowly by not taking it off the pan right away helps it obtain a better final hardness.

I appreciate the promptness of delivery and the item arrived in good shape. I have just started working with it, just playing really. I have wanted to try Fimo polymer clay for some time now. I have heard others complain that Fimo is hard to work with although it is superior after it is baked, which I want. I was pleasantly surprised that the clay is quite workable, I was able to condition it (perhaps it helps that this is Fimo Soft). Once conditioned, it seems to stay reasonably pliable, even when cold and having been left for a day or two. Very satisfied!

Great clay! I ordered this clay for an art project, and it was just perfect. Easy to work with, baked up beautifully with great detail from the molds. I highly recommend this product!

This is my favorite PC. Keeps detail, conditions well, colors are great. It is affordable. Blends well for skinner blends or with other brands of PC if needed.

I love Fimo soft.

Maybe the block I got was old and dried out, but it is not soft at all! It's incredibly difficult to work with. I expected that the FIMO soft would be as soft as, or softer than, the regular Sculpey that I'm used to. I had a hard time even cutting pieces of clay off the block with a knife, so I wound up cutting halfway through, then breaking off the rest of the piece, to give you an idea of how brittle it is.

Ich baue mittlerweile alles aus Fimo, was leicht zu bauen und in der Anschaffung teurer als die entsprechende Menge an Fimo ist. Ich bin begeistert. Der Block, der bei mir ankam, war weder zu weich, noch zu hart, genauso wie ich es von Fimo soft kenne. Werde wieder hier bestellen und Fimo kann ich generell jedem empfehlen, der gerne seine Kreativität auslebt oder einfach irgend ein Teil in einer bestimmten Form schnell selbst formen will. Der praktische Nutzen hat sich bei mir schon sehr häufig als extrem hilfreich erwiesen, zuletzt beispielsweise als ich auf die Schnelle ein "Geländer" für die Rampe meines Hamsters bauen musste, damit er sicher die 2. Etage seines Käfigs erreicht, und keine Stichsäge hatte, um das Geländer aus Holz zu fertigen.

Yup, white is one of the most important colours to get when you work with polymer clay, as you can mix it with other colours to create different tones. I love this product, I get it all the time. You need to play with it a bit to soft it, but it is easy and the amount is good. I have ruined myself buying to many of these and I will keep doing it as doing clay is my job and my passion. I do recommend it.
