Game changer
This device was easy to install and it's a game changer for my dad. Dad had surgery and was laid up in hospital for 1.5 months developing muscle atrophy and can't get around. This is allowing him to work on his upper body strength. Was a bit worried because it does give a little bit but it appears to be very stable regardless.

Mfg. Rated for 250 lbs, not 450 lbs. as advertised
Irrespective of the misleading weight capacity advertised, this item mounts perfectly to a hospital bed we had leftover from caring for a loved one. I am a 75 year old female and did it myself in less than 30 minutes. It is a game changer for my husband who sustained a spinal compression fracture and was unable to use our bed - resorting to sporadic naps in a recliner. This device now enables quality sleep for a nap or the entire night as he is able to get in and out of bed by himself. Excellent product, thank you.

Made recovery much easier
Needed this after knee surgery to help get in & out of bed. I am 220 lbs and used this with the floor stand. Together, they work very well together. Very stable, very strong. It seems simple enough, but this setup allowed me to get in, out and adjust my position in bed easily and without assistance. It is well designed and thought out and includes a short standoff on the back to maintain clearance from the wall to keep the hardware from marring or damaging the wall. the height is adjustable by mounting the post higher or lower and the reach is also adjustable to some degree. One note, requires regular hand tools to fully assemble and tighten all of the nuts and bolts. The picture shows the trapeze mounted to a headboard, and after receiving this and understanding the stress this handles, I'm pretty sure there is no bed that has a headboard strong enough to mount his trapeze on outside of a hospital bed.

Very helpful for stroke patient
My dad is a 30 year stroke patient with full left-side paralysis. He’s nearly 80, and still at home. My mom is in her late 70s and has cared for him all this time. As he has continued to decline, the load shifted more and more to her when getting him out of bed and into his wheelchair. Dad’s occupational therapist suggested this device, and it has really taken some of the physical strain off my mom. Worth every penny.

The equipment is OK but did not meet my mother's needs. I cannot figure out how to return it. I called the company and they gave me another number. No one answered that number. I will go through a medical supply store in the future.

Great hospital tool for at home.
This product is great. Helps you get out of and into bed when you need support. Currently being used by a Parkinson’s patient supportive of him remaining somewhat self sufficient and in control. But here is the tip. If the head support of the bed is not super sturdy, do not clamp this trapeze to it but instead go with the supportive stand that is sold separate. Perfect combination!
