Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder Silky Beige

This is my holy grail for oil control and mattifying my oily t-zone. Even when I'm not wearing makeup, I hate looking so shiny and greasy, so I do a little dusting of this on my forehead. I've tried other more expensive brands but the oil control never lasts as long, and I end up coming back to Rimmel. I'll admit, the packaging is the worst. There are no brushes or sponges included for application. The tiny plastic cover is flimsy and I've broken every single plastic cover, no matter how much I baby them. The actual powder also tends to break apart if you so much as look at it wrong. I've had success depotting into a vintage Stratton compact, it fits perfectly and allows me to take it on the go. I put up with the terrible packaging because I can't find any other mattifying powder that compares.

Rimmel London is a great product and does exactly what I bought it for. It keeps me matte throughout the day and hides any shine and oily spots on my face. It covers well and easy to apply and doesn't cake up during the day at all. It also helps in keeping my makeup from sliding or running during the afternoons when I get hot and sweat.

I decided to go on here and buy this product because I’ve been using it for so many years and it has the same quality as the Charlotte Tilbury powder only this is more matte and longer lasting in my opinion. Despite the package arriving in bubble wrap, it still arrived broken- which I had a feeling would happen after looking at other people’s reviews. I guess I’ll have to put these somewhere where they won’t get crushed… makeup is still in tact but lids are both broken.

It used to be you could find Rimmel products in stores now it seems Amazon is one of the few remaining places where Rimmel is still available. The price is still good in a day and age when many cosmetic products are getting so darn pricey. This pressed powder comes in a variety of shades too. I can use the transparent shade over liquid foundation for a soft touch without adding more color--just a shine-free matte. It does last me pretty much most of the day and I have combo skin. Just be aware the powder does not come with any kind of puff or sponge type applicator.

I love this powder. Perfect for setting my foundation. The sandstorm shade matches my fair complexion well without making me look most ghostly. This powder never irritates my sensitive skin. Great!

It covers great just know that amazon will package it with any other heavy items in your order. So it will arrive a broken mess but it still works.
