What is the handle like when used as a cane and how comfortable is the seat?

The handle works okay. It would be a bit better if I made a padded Velcro cover for it. But I've used it on flat surfaces and hills and mountains and actually in a big city. As for sitting, the seat is fine. I use it more as a prop to lean/sit against, but I think it's great. It's more like sitting on something that's not padded. Hope that helps.

How much weight will it support does it work on concrete

I weigh about 360 lb. It worked for a few weeks, then the collapsible pole bent. the rubber cap on the spike only lasted a couple weeks since the spike bored right through it. I have since modified the thing and am only using the seat that came with it on a 1/2" pipe and regular cane foot on it. It works great now on concrete. Have to replace the cane rubber once a month or so though.

Above the rubber tip is a flat piece that is folded up against the shank. What is it for?

The plate folds down and keeps the cane from sinking into soft ground.
