This tool and a sharpening steel serve very different purposes
Despite its astounding price, this is a must have tool.Distinguish between this, which will actually remove steel from the dull edge of a blade, sharpening it, and a steel which will only 'hone' the edge.This tool is fully functional but with over use will grind away the edge of a blade.Buy it if you can afford it, use it only when needed, and enjoy truly sharp knives

Simply put, product works very well, and so easy to use. No regrets here. Wish I'd bought one years ago. Victorinox is affordable quality.

This is the sharpener that EVERYONE needs. If you got some high quality knife, like a Zwilling/Henckels, this will make the knife finally perform well. I have had the diamond stone, V style multi sharpener, and many others. I have thrown all the others out, this is the REAL answer to a great cutting utensil.
