I recently bought an Asus laptop preloaded with Ubuntu Linux. For some reason my wifi has slowed down to only 50mbs for some reason. I have the 300 plan from Wow! Internet, I see in excess of 300 (up to 350) with my wifi on my Samsung tablet. I bought this adapter with low expectations that it would even work with Ubuntu, tho the seller claims it would. And it does! I plugged it in to my router with a network cable and Ubuntu didn't even have to bother me with technical details-- it just works. Over 350mbs download speeds now.

My Raspberry Pi 4B got nailed by a lightning surge via the Ethernet port. The Pi still works, but the built in Ethernet port got fried. This USB to Ethernet adapter got me pack on the network. Plug and play. I powered off the Pi, plugged in the adapter to one of the USB 3.0 ports, plugged in the Ethernet cable, powered up, and it worked.

Great for your modern TV this will help with better download speed your TV quality are lockninat 100 mbps if not double the speed then 4 times it depends on what USB 2.0 or 3.0 the newer the version the faster the soeed. This work around does wonders for updates and I think also video stability and sound.

I recently cut the cord, leaving Xfinity and moved on to fiber optic Internet with a one gigabit plan. As I understand it, most televisions ethetnet network adapters max out at 100mbps. Even though 4K streaming will work with 25mbps, I wanted to give my television the strongest signal that I could to avoid any buffering issues.My TV is a Sony X900H that comes with a blue 3.0. USB port. Before hooking up this device and having my Ethernet cable plugged into the ethernet port, I got a maximum of 96.5mbps. After installing this device on my ethernet cable and plugging it into the blue 3.0 USB port, I got 919mbps. This should guarantee no buffering issues. I cannot speak to whether this will work on other brands of televisions, but I have seen many postings on the Internet about this working with Sony televisions that have the Android operating system. It is imperative if you use this device that your TV has the blue 3.0 USB port available.

My PC has only a 10/100 ethernet card and I was not of a mind to dismantle it. It does have a lot of USB ports, so this seems like a good inexpensive solution until I need to break down and get a new PC. My internet speed is 1gps advertised, and I can measure that I do get 1g speed very reliably on my newest iPhone over WiFi. I decided this was a law risk solution to improve throughput to my PC. The bad news is that all of my USB ports are USB 2.0, so I’m not going to get 1g speed. Still, USB 2.0 is lots faster than 100meg. It was truly plug and play on my Windows 10 PC, though it took the old girl quite a while to load the driver, maybe 5 -8 minutes or so before it eventually connected. I did check in Device Manager for a newer driver, and it did find one, so I had another 5 minute wait to get it downloaded and installed. After that it worked perfectly. As I mentioned, all my USB ports are 2.0, so I was curious as to the actual throughput I could get. Using Ookla’s Speetdest app on the PC I am averaging about 240mbps download and 40mbps upload, which aligns with USB 2.0 standards and my ISP’s throttle. Most sites don’t send data to you much faster than that anyway. My point in saying all this is that if you have an older PC, it still makes sense to use this gadget. It will extend the life of your machine and delay the headaches of getting and setting up a new computer.

I highly recommend the TP-Link UE300 ethernet adapter for Sony BRAVIA X900H owners. After an initial attempt with a different brand resulted in a compatibility issue, I switched to the UE300 based on user research. The adapter is fully compatible and has substantially boosted my connection, raising my download speeds from under 100 Mbps to nearly 400 Mbps.

Before ordering this ethernet adapter, I was lucky to get up to 175 MB when I'm paying for 1G! Very frustrating when the internet would kick me out of whatever I was doing. Speed tests now range between 750 - 937 MB. And I have not been kicked out of the things that I'm working on since buying this. I am VERY happy with my purchase & would highly recommend it!

Does the job as expected. It is pure plug-n-play device with no installations. I am using it for my Macbook Air (13inch) and it works like a charm. The build quality is pretty good and has an inbuilt light which blinks to when connected. As always, Amazon delivery was spot on!
