First one In the soup...but replacement was perfect
I at first gave this a bad review because even though it is so cool the first one I received seemed to have a serious design flaw. Turns out it was defective. The top part of it that is the hand did not lock into the base at the wrist, it just set on top. So if you picked it up by the top it just fell apart. I had company the other day using it and twice someone dropped the base into their soup as it just fell apart when they went to use it.Splash! Bernie's in the soup again, Jeeves!So I sent it back for a replacement, and that one came very fast and works perfect. I can see that the problem with the first one is that the interior mill was set too far into the wooden casing, so there was no way for the locking tabs to grab.So I give this now five stars, but if you order one make sure to check it out to make sure it locks together, or too many hands may spoil the broth!

This is a fun decoration, but poor quality grinder
This is a fun decoration, but poor quality grinder. After only a couple of months, the hand no longer remained on the arm. We had to push down and turn at the same time, or the mill wouldn't grind. Very disappointing.

Cool but not well made
It is very cool looking, but the hand portion of the mill falls off. It is very loose and people are always dropping it. When it drops, the peppercorns go flying out and all over.

LOVE IT!
Those are SO fun. As a retired high school Art teacher, I have used articulated hands in my classroom. Seeing this clever adaptation is a fond reminder of my 34 years as an educator. My dinner guests think they are such a fun addition to the table. I quite agree. I bought both the right and left hands: one for salt, one for pepper. I love these.

Awesome Grinder
I have a pair of these and I love them, so I bought one for a wedding gift. It was a huge hit! Unique, funtional and excellent quality for years of use!

I bought two, for salt and pepper. They are great conversation pieces. The grandchildren love them and our adult guests do too. Would definitely recommend .
