What a simple, yet effective invention
I had been using a pocket knife or straight edge blade to cut handles in boxes for decades. When I came across this, I thought it might just be halfway decent. Boy was I wrong. This thing is awesome. I wish I had it decades ago. It takes a bit of pressure on both sides of the tool, but don't let that fool you. It's plenty capable of cutting cardboard (and puncture fingers as I did, just to see the blades). Be careful, it's definitely sharp, with teeth of sharpened steel that look like shark's teeth.

Works, but could be better
Does what it’s supposed to. Cracked after about five or so uses, but still able to use. Wish the holes were a little bigger, but still easier than cutting out manually.

Saved me quite a bit of money and is going to make my move much easier!
Perfect for buying cheaper boxes and making them easier to move. Instead of paying extra for precut handles, I bought this and found boxes for about a dollar each at Walmart. Compared to three dollar boxes with handles, I am saving some serious money. This would also work for free boxes- I just wanted them all to be the same size so they pack in the moving truck better. As far as using this device, I have a couple of tips. 1) the two pieces of this hole cutter only line up one way. After trying to do it wrong and cutting the plastic, I marked the tops of both pieces with a sharpie so I windows it again. 2) I don't know why I expected it to cut through the boxes like butter, but it obviously doesn't... The best way I have found is to hold one side in place and hit the center of the other side with my other palm. A rubber mallet would work as well. Unless you are the hulk, you might find this useful.

GARBAGE. Made 3 hold punches, then the super-cheap blade bent. Ridiculous.
Yet another very cheaply made piece of junk that we're expected to rely on for a laborious task. Cheap plastic, ends didn't line up or punch inward smoothly (yes, I had them both facing the right direction). Eventually got it to work, but then after making just a few holes, it stopped sliding at all. Come to find that a tiny tooth of the blade had bent inward, prevening the whole thing from working. Even the metal part of this device was super cheap and junkie.

Wish they made a deeper version.
We use these daily in our shipping department. They work really well and we just with they made one with a longer blade to work better for double wall boxes.Maybe even an upgraded version with thicker steel on the blade, but for the current price.....we just order them every so aften.

Great until it wasn't
Just got it today and tried it on one box and it worked perfectly. Unless the blades get really dull quickly, this is definitely worth it. Even if you have a hand truck to move boxes, this makes it easier to transport more fragile but heavy items you may not want to load on a hand truck that’s banging against every single step you drag it up. Maybe I am an incapable of using one correctly but they don’t seem very stable at times and I prefer to carry boxes. Definitely would recommend others buy to have handy, even if you do not plan on moving soon.Edit: Bought this in August and used it once, and it worked well. Used it again in November and it doesn't work as well anymore. I wouldn't recommend this product anymore. No matter how much force I use it just will not cut through a box anymore. Very disappointed.

I thank my self whenever I have to carry a box of stuff to my storage area.
Love this product. It is not totally perfect but close enough! It does require some effort to get the final 1/2" of the motion that cuts and creases the cardboard, but it is hard to see how they could avoid that.It cuts a PERFECT handle in cardboard. great shape and the crease allows a perfect "fold" when I used to cut my own handles, the cutout wasn't perfect and the "fold" was uneven, leading to tearing sometimes. No problem with that anymore.I used light oil to lubricate the sliding surfaces to make it easier to use. don't use too much to avoid any mess. One caveat, the two parts fit together in only one way and cant be rotated 180 degrees. If you do the parts won't align and you'll slightly bend the blades. Don't ask me how I know. I was able to straighten them but pay attention to the small ridges on both sides which indicate the "up" side of each part.

Game changer!
Some of my moving boxes didn’t have handles, while other boxes’ handles broke. This tool was a game changer! My sister thought it was a waste of money until it arrived… now she’s asking me what it was called so she can send her friend who’s moving the link. It’s sturdier than it seems. My other friend who was helping me pack was so amazed at it too and was looking for boxes to add handles to! Highly recommend this game changer moving tool!
