Breathing new life into a worn-out, middle-aged body
The rings and straps arrived on schedule and packaged well. I believe this set to be an unbelievable bargain as I have less money invested in it and the mounting hardware I used than a month's gym membership would cost. I installed the rings over a 1-1/2" steel pipe laid over and lashed to two overhead C-beams in an outbuilding. Thanks to the other reviews here at Amazon, I knew to run the straps through the buckles in the direction indicated by the arrows imprinted on the sides of the buckles and to use a pair of pliers to pinch flat the melted edge of the working end of the strap so that I could feed it in the right direction. When threaded in the direction of the arrow, the straps and buckles hold my weight (200 lbs) without even a hint of slippage during use. The rings themselves are solid. I am confident in this Nayoya set's ruggedness and in the safety that ruggedness provides. Like another reviewer here, I at first thought that it would have been nice had the manufacturer provided measurement marks on the straps to make even adjustment simpler, but after using these rings for a few weeks I have found that it is easy to eyeball evenness, that the light kinks that form in the straps help find recently used lengths, and that since I am using these for resistance exercises to develop functional strength, slight variations from workout to workout actually help with muscle development. Per my review title, I spent my twenties as an iron-pumping gym rat, and I have the stupidly self-inflicted injuries (especially in my shoulders) to prove it. I have been using these rings for four weeks now to perform simple bodyweight and stability exercises found on YouTube, and my initial progress has been rapid with impressive gains in muscle definition and in improved functional strength and range of motion--probably thanks to stabilizer muscles that are forcibly recruited by the inherent instability of suspended rings. Thinking about it, I do not think I ever had occasion to work these muscles as an adult until now. I personally know several people with old injuries similar to mine sustained the same way I got mine, so I would like to impress on anyone reading this who may be in the same boat that this tiny investment (in terms of time and money) has paid off in a big way for me.

So far I love them and really have no complaints
I have had these for about a month and have been working out with them 3-4 times a week. So far I love them and really have no complaints. Rings are easy to hang. The straps are like long adjustable loops; you can throw them over anything (tree branch, ceiling joist, mountings for a swing) and adjust to fit. It takes a minute to get them hung and feed the webbing through the clasps, but once that's set up changing the height of the rings doesn't take longer than 30 seconds and can easily be done mid-workout. The webbing and clasps seem sturdy so far. The rings themselves have a wide enough diameter to make them comfortable to grip, and I've never had issues with my hands slipping on them. I really like working out on rings - it's very varied and challenging. I was super sore after I first tried these, even though I'd been doing the same strength routine on a fixed bar for months! They make workouts feel a bit more playful to me. They're not too heavy and would fit easily in a backpack with other workout equipment to take them to a park or the like. The only small hitch I've noticed is that there is a small logo applique'd onto the webbing, which sometimes gets caught when the webbing is being fed into the clasp. But you can just flip the strap over and feed it in the other way, which usually helps. Feeding the webbing through the clasp was a bit awkward at first but now I don't even think about it. Overall a great value for the money (I got them on sale for ~$30) considering that I can now do a full-body, balanced strength workout at home or anywhere I pleased. I would highly recommend these to anyone (besides perhaps a professional gymnast - I assume they're buying the expensive wooden ones!) who wants more flexibility in their workouts and to be able to move their "gym" from place to place.

Just like everyone else says... a great product !
These just arrived yesterday. The rings and straps appear solidly built, and are very simple in design; that's a good thing. You have to be careful to loop the straps through the buckle correctly, but they have photos which show how. Feed from the bottom, in the direction of the arrow on the clip... pretty simple. You can hang them from a variety of supports. I looped them over a pull up bar, and used them today to do dips. They're great. I was trying to figure out to find space in the garage for dip bars, and this eliminated the problem completely. When I'm not using them, I hang the rings on a peg sticking off the pull up bar, so the straps and rings stay way above head height and are unobtrusive. I've attached a photo so you can see the setup. I had a question about stability, given that the straps aren't anchored to any part of the pull up bar, but (a) I looped the remainder of the straps to the pull up supports that anchor it into the wooden beam, which would help keep the straps in place, except (b) it doesn't appear to be necessary, as the force exerted on the straps is primarily downward, which also seems to keep them from moving. Perhaps if you are swinging, then you'd need to fix the straps harder so they don't move laterally on the bar... but then again, there is also a velcro strap situated right by the buckle, probably for this purpose (to prevent horizontal sliding of the strap). The dips were great. I tried hanging pull ups with an L-pike, and that was also great. Since I'm going to do mostly calisthenics, I think I can already safely say this product is excellent for my needs. I don't know about how they would work for a full fledged gymnast, who is looking to swing giants or anything, but my guess is that they are using a proper gymnastics setup. Overall, I'm amazed at the value. Simple, durable, get the job done. A much, much better alternative than clunky dip bars that are triple the price.

Good Quality stuff for not a lot of money
These are the best portable rings I've ever used. I mount these bad boys off a TRX rack and it's muscle up and lever city. They have a great buckle/strap system and are well finished. I've had at least 3 sets of portable rings, some sets have been really cheesy, the buckles have come undone. One pair, had really small rings and little plastic traction nubs, they relied on a slip knot tie, totally bogus, that was what forced me into buying these, the rings are comfortable, I can muscle up, L-Sit, lever to my heart's content with these rings, the buckles on the straps are great, the rings are well finished. A product like this, you'ld expect the manufacturer to be Rogue or Gibson, instead these are great practice rings at a good price from a small company. Great job, I'd say I'll buy another set, but these will last for a while. Okay, here it is, a few months later and the rings, straps and buckles are holding up really well, they are used 3 - 4 times a week, the buckles and straps show no wear...good product.

Decent
I bought a couple of these, set them up and used them and they have held for the most part. I did break one of the buckles when I initially set it up by simply doing a pullup. I weigh about 195 lbs. held me fine and the buckle that broke is still usable. The grip on the actual rings is nice, meaning, I cannot complain. I'm not sure what the return policy is but I wish I didn't have the broken buckle. I need to order about 6 more sets of rings for a gym, not 100% sold on buying these because of the buckle. Pros: Easy set up, good grip on rings, lightweight, portable Cons: Broke the buckle, somewhat difficult to get the strap through the buckle.

Nice Product, Nice Design, Well Built.
I did lots of research, and although i read most people preferred wood rings, i decided on these plastic ones because I keep them outside and it rains a lot here, i'm hopping that the sun won't deteriorate the straps (but maybe it will over time), but overall the quality is very good, 'one strap was slightly larger than the other' by about a few inches, but it didn't matter because they are long enough.. in my opinion... i hocked them outside from the balcony on the main beam... works great... really wish i had bought this product long time ago... i used to do these when i was younger, so i'm happy i'm able to get a little bit back in shape from using these once in a while. I'm slightly over 200 lbs and it holds me well... rings stay in place. Rings are good size...Not to big not too small.. Just right. Note that i read people saying these type of clips for the strap is hard to set up, maybe the very first time i was not sure how to do it, but after that i can adjust it easily, as i do adjust them higher for pull ups, and lower them for dips... Great item... very well designed.. i like the feeling of it on my hands for sure better than 'steel rings' that is what I was used to in the past because plastic is not as cold when temperature drops... Nayoya if you reading this... Thank you... Cheers.

Bodyweight training newb
I'm an experienced trail runner (15+ years) and I'm new to bodyweight training and gymnastics. Three weeks ago I began the program on StartBodyWeight.com. I want to improve my core strength and overall balance and power/size ratio. So far I'm enjoying incredible results both in body strength and balance on the trail. I purchased these rings to use with my doorway pull-up bar at home. I was a bit concerned about some customer reviews that said the straps slip. I read one that says to look for the arrow on the metal clasp and thread the strap through it accordingly. That's what I did, and it hasn't slipped at all after using it 4-5 times per week for three weeks for dips, static holds, inverted rows, and my daughter swinging on them. I weigh 180lbs and she weighs about 30lbs. Just follow the arrow printed on the clasp to begin the threading of the strap and you'll be fine. I have no previous experience with any rings or straps, so I have nothing against which I can compare these. So far I have no complaints. They're sturdy and I trust them. The rings are a comfortable size for the exercises I've tried so far. Also, I sweat a lot and I haven't had any trouble with slippery grips. Another plus: the straps are easily adjusted. As I mentioned before, be sure you thread them correctly! (Look for the arrow on the clasp to know where to being threading the strap.)

Quality Rings
Gymnastic Rings provide a great workout, particularly for the back and shoulders. Having your own set is handy if you like to train in the park. You only need to find a decent jungle gym or pullup bar and you are in business. I wouldn't call these an essential piece of fitness gear. So, if you are deciding between rings OR a suspension trainer like a TRX, I would get the suspension trainer first. This specific set is very good quality. The rings are solid and have a good weight to them with just enough texture to prevent slipping. They are exactly the same weight as the ones we use at the crossfit box that I go to. The straps and cam buckles that secure the straps are built well and do not slip (very important). I paid about $35 for this set. Considering that sometimes I will be hanging upside down on these, I feel it was money well spent for a quality product. Update 2015: After two years, these rings are still good as new. We have a covered deck and left them hung on the rafters there in order to do dips and work on muscle ups. They have served us very well. The price on these fluctuates, but you can usually pick them up for $25-40. P.S: My wife adds that if you have a TRX, these provide a nice matching set.

Good product
Its a good product but a bit overpriced . Rings are nice and study and the thread is about 15 feet long and it is easily adjustable
