A military issue boonie size 7 1/2 fits me perfectly. Are these hats sized like the military ones?

I love the hat . 2 things I didn’t like. 1. It was packaged soo tight in a small plastic bag that it put a bad crease in the brim portion. I do understand it’s a boonie hat but the crease did not go with the flow of the brim. 2. The little leather tightening adjuster is very cheap. Mine broke quickly. I went and purchased a small plastic ball type. Works great. Other then those 2 issues I live the product.

how wide is the brim?

Mine is just about 3" wide, give or take an 1/8".Covers about 1/2 of face, sides of face & ears and back of neck
