Not much to the story
My children love the Max and Ruby books and we were excited to get this one, however I was a little disappointed at the lack of an actual story. The book is mostly Max asking "Why?" many times and Ruby saying "because." Its still a cute story but not much substance to it.

CLASSIC! :)
had this book as a kid and though it's not EXACTLY the same (think the pictures have been "updated"), it's close enough. very sweet story.

Why? Because!!
He's back! The ultimate toddler with his eternal "Why?", Max isn't sure he agrees with all the rules of Christmas Eve--like, why can't he see Santa? And the ultimate bossy big sister tries to tell him (even though she really doesn't know herself). The result is an encounter that winds up exasperating Santa into the final answer: "Why?" "BECAUSE!" Perfect for Christmas story time!

NICE STORY
The story is cute but very simple and better suited I believe for under 3 years. My son is 4 years and he already had it mesmerized after just a few readings. Great cover, color & details, my son loved pointing out Max's pj's print & candy canes.

MAX'S CHRISTMAS
The 'Max' books are always anticipated with great exuberance. It's nice to be able tofind quality and fun books for the younger set. Hopefully, these will be a start to alife of reading....I enjoy reading them to my youngest grandchild....who, incidentally,is now insisting on becoming the 'reader' and Grammy is the 'listener'! Such pricelessmoments.Grammy

Book itself is lovely, unfortunately it was badly damaged and not fit to give as a gift. Disappointing.

A Must read for new kids
Bought this book originally for our now 26 year old son. Bought again for his duaghter and our first grandchild. A must for any child growing up.

クリスマスの夢と驚きにあふれた１冊です。姉のルビーは弟のマックスを寝かせようとしますが、マックスはサンタクロースに会いたくてしかたありません。誰が来るの？ いつ？ どこに？ どうやって？ どうして？ 姉と弟の会話がなんともほほえましく、絵もかわいらしくて、２歳の姪は大喜びでした。簡単な英語なので、英語の導入に最適です。初心者でも大丈夫だと思います。（本の大きさは約２３ｃｍ×２３ｃｍくらい）
