Brilliant bit of kit, wished Id brought one sooner, AR on the app allows you to see the ports in use and what the device might be, fantastic.

Please note the switch is not a POE switch. Amazon are aware and have advised they’ll switch this product off but it is still available to buy. I would 100% recommend that you do not buy this product.

Excellent equipment if you are a starter or network pro

I have not tested gen2 , but gen1 Poe switches suck. The firmware is badly written and the majority of support is incompetent and useless in my experience . Only level two appear to be better.I would give them -4 * if such was available. STAY AWAY

J’utilise ce switch PoE 24 ports Ubiquiti pour alimenter plusieurs caméras réseau, et il fait parfaitement le job. L’installation est simple, l’interface de gestion est claire, et l’application mobile UniFi est vraiment pratique pour tout surveiller à distance. Le switch est silencieux, stable, et la gestion PoE par port est très intuitive. C’est du matériel pro à un prix raisonnable. Idéal pour une petite ou moyenne infrastructure réseau.

Vorweg: Ich schreibe diese Rezension nur, weil man auf Amazon leider nicht mehr auf andere Rezensionen antworten kann. Der Kollege "Unknown User" vergibt einen Stern und beschwert sich über Dinge, die eigentlich ein Pluspunkt des USW-24-POE Gen2 sind. Ja, man kann den Switch nicht "Standalone" betreiben (bzw. installieren/konfigurieren), wer das will, der muss sich einen Netgear, Cisco, Aruba, was auch immer kaufen. Wird dann aber feststellen, dass ein POE-Switch ( IEEE 802.3af/at !!) von diesen Anbietern deutlich teurer ist und/oder auch noch nervige Lüfter hat (TP-Link z.B.) Also für wen ist dieser Switch? Für Leute, die sich bereits im Unifi-Universum bewegen oder ein komplettes Netzwerk mit Unifi planen. Die Geräte integrieren sich dann nämlich alle nahtlos in den zentralen Controller, den man sich als Hardwarelösung zulegen kann (z.B. über einen Cloud Key) oder eben selbst installiert (kostenlose Software), z.B. auf einen Raspberry Pi oder in einer Linux-VM. So habe ich den Controller 6 Jahre lang ohne Probleme betrieben. Mit dieser zentralen Software steuert, konfiguriert und administriert man seine komplette Umgebung an Unifi-Geräten, was das Leben wirklich einfacher macht. Diagnosen, Firmwareupdates, VLAN-Konfigurationen, WLAN-Konfigurationen, etc. pp. alles in einer Oberfläche. Sämtliche Einstellungen werden dann auf die Geräte automatisch ausgerollt. Hierfür gibt es so gut wie keine erschwingliche Konkurrenz. Seit kurzem betreibe ich den Controller auf einem Cloud Key Gen 2 Plus, aber nur, weil auch auch die Kameras von Ubiquiti nutze und auf dem CKG2+ auch Unifi Protect läuft für die Kameras. Mit dem Controller hat der USW-24-POE Gen 2 alle (!) Funktionen, egal ob es eine Selbstinstallation ist, oder er auf der Dream Machine oder dem CKG2+ läuft. Der Stromverbrauch ist nicht höher als bei anderen POE Switches. Das zeigt allein die Tatsache, dass das Gerät lüfterlos (= wenig Verlustleistung!) und damit unhörbar ist. Also: Wer sich im Unifi-Universum bewegt, den wird dieser Switch vollends überzeugen. - hoher Durchsatz - keine Lüfter - einfache Konfiguration/Administration über den zentralen Controller - POE auf Basis von IEEE 802.3af/at - Die Kommunikation per LWL über SFP zu einem TP-Link Switch funktioniert auch tadellos ABER: Wer NUR einen POE-Switch sucht, der ist sicherlich mit anderen Herstellern besser bedient.

Since switching to Unifi ?I can say with out a doubt this is the worse producty I have used. Constant packet loss and high latency error messages and disconnects from internet. I have email Unifi customer support as that is the only way to get support and after a few emails with no fix they just stopped emailing. now non of the lan ports ware working and this is not even 6 months after purchase. Again there is no phone support so I am stuck with a giant paper weight.

Sustituye a un Netgear que no tenía VLAN, este cumple sobradamente su cometido y es muy cómodo de gestionar gracias a UniFi. Se calienta mas de lo que esperaba, normal cuando tienes varios puertos PoE en uso al ser pasivo.
