MSR Quality
I have become a fan of MSR products. I have this cook set and a couple of their water purifiers and they have always worked great for me. Sturdy and light weight and include the cups/mugs for coffee or whatever you prefer. The lids stay on the mugs nicely and dont fall off.The removable handle is nice so you have one handle that you can use for both pots and keeps the handle from melting or getting hot over the fire. This set is great for cooking for 2 or more people. If you are a solo backpacker, it might be a little bulky to justify but that being said, it is very light and if you have the room, great.Customer service from MSR is great also. A good friend of mine has the same set. during a trip, the lid was knocked off and accidentally fell upside down on the grate and melted the little handle in the center of the lid. Contacted MSR and they sent him a replacement lid for free, and he was just asking about purchasing a new handle.Definitely recommend.UPDATE 10/27/2014Got back from a BWCA trip where during the trip, the red plastic ring on the lid cracked and fell off. Also, I dropped the pot and the piece that retains the lid for pouring became loose. Emailed MSR and sent large pot back. They replaced the large pot, lid and handle with a new one. As stated, my experience is that they stand behind their product. I will continue to purchase their products as long as they continue great customer service. I will mention that in this case, it took a couple of emails to get them to reply BUT in the end, they came through.

Very Good Quality
Good quality camping cookware. I have used it to cook beans, fish, etc. The handle is very sturdy and the pots are as well. I have not used the cups, but they seem to be really good too. I will use them on the next trip just to see how well they work. The bowls are great! Perfect for a meal. The non-stick surface works great too. Didn't have any issues with it. I use the pans on a single burner stove and do not recommend using them over a campfire. The coating and the plastic button on the handle can melt. Using them on a single propane burner is perfect though. I highly recommend this set-up. I am one of those types that only likes to buy something once, so I put a ton of research into stuff before buying and I'm not afraid to pay extra for quality. This cookware will definitely last you 10+ years if you take care of it. I just now purchased the skillet that goes with it, so now I can fry freshly caught fish!!! Can't wait! One thing to note, this set-up is a bit "large" if you are trying to pack the bare minimum. It works good for two backpackers, etc. If you are a solo backpacker you should take note of the dimensions & weight just in case. I am a kayaker, so it did not concern me. Lastly, I added a few "Light My Fire Titanium Sporks" to it. They fit nicely inside everything & complete the kit. I highly recommend those as well.

Great, Lightweight, Durable and Packable Cookset
The set is well-built, nests perfect, and contains everything needed to cook/eat comfortable for 2, for however long is necessary. It's light enough to pack, although would take up considerable space. BUT,if you can car camp, or don't have other items, or can even lash it to the exterior of the pack, no sweat. MSR, as usual, designed and built a great product with this set.UPDATE: After several months of field use, I love this set even more. My wife and I, at home, use MSR equipment regularly, which is why I bought this set for my East African deployment. I couldn't be more happy with it. From roasted bushmeat with local herbs and spices, to red wine and "jungle juice", I've had better meals during weeks in the bush than at 4-star restaurants at home. The set packs easily, cooks evenly, cleans easily and impresses all around. I've cooked over an MSR stove (with various fuels), charcoal, and even on the block of an overheated engine; the kit remains durable and serviceable. Even though I'm a single element in the bush, I often find myself having to carry "dead weight" (field operators know what I mean) and being prepared to serve 2 has made many comfortable nights for people who would otherwise have been miserable. This set is a bargain at twice the price.

Would have been 5 stars.
After recently hiking back country in Yellowstone and going on a few local campsites in Maryland I must say that this cookset is awesome. It is light and is extremely well made. It is aluminum and heats extremely fast when boiling water or even cooking food. My one gripe is that there is no second lid for the smaller pot. A second would be useful when out in the wild when you are using one pot for boiling water and another for cooking other dishes to prevent insects from getting in either pot and/or prevent the smell of the food from traveling too far which is a major concern in bear country.Pro:1. Lightweight.2. Perfect for 1-2 people and multiple sets are good for larger groups.3. Transfers heat well for boiling water or heating food.4. Insulated cups keep hands from getting burnt when drinking coffee, tea, or soups.Con:1. No lid for the smaller pot. Conclusion: I'd definitely recommend this set to anyone both for themselves, for a gift or as a backup set for emergencies when items may have to be cooked over a flame.
