Terrible product. Bad kit
Bought through Amazon. Never fermented no matter what we tried. Have been making wine for over 20 years and never had any problems. Always purchased wine kits through a private dealer and just recently started purchasing wine kits through Amazon. Will never make the mistake of ordering thru Amazon again. Was a bad kit. Had to dump it. Very disappointed.

i only added 3/4 of the f pack and it was a little too sweet for my taste
I gave this wine a 4 because I changed it a bit, i only added 3/4 of the f pack and it was a little too sweet for my taste, i also added extra sugar at fermentation to increase the abv to about 10% and added some cranberry juice to the wine for added color since we will be drinking this one at thanksgiving. I can guess that if i only added half of the f pack and added real homemade cranberry juice at fementation this would be fantastic which is what i will do next time but when i made this batch there were no cranberries in the stores yet and if i waited i wouldve missed turkey day but it is still a great wine.

Could have been delivered better
All is good except it was delivered just as pictured above, no outer box. The box was beat up by the time it arrived. I’m glad the liquid on the inside was not punctured.

Delicious sweet wine
Tastes great and easy to make. Definitely a sweet wine.

Top 3 wine out 20 kits we've made
I should rate this a 1 star cause I want it all. Honestly, it's great! We quickly ordered an extra one figuring it might be seasonal. We did add a few cups of sugar to bump sg level higher. Love it!

Great product at a great price
Kit was delivered bubble wrapped, in a box, on time. Can't wait to try it out. Looks great!

Island Mist products are great, tho a little sweet
Island Mist products are great, tho a little sweet. So I weigh the F-pack first and put in half the weight during the first few days of fermentation and the remainder when it's done fermenting. Also, because the potential alcohol is only around 7%, I bump that up with about 5 lbs of sugar to achieve around 12-13%. The result is a nicely balanced wine and very smooth.
