$100 trumpet? Sounds great! What a deal!
I bought this trumpet to expand my knowledge of instruments. I know how to play the Alto and Tenor Saxophone, so I decided I'd teach myself how to play a trumpet. $175, $200, $300, $400, $500+? That's outrageous! $100 for a BEAUTIFUL, shiny instrument with a wonderful case is just a great deal! I love this trumpet, very easy to play. With the help of the internet, I taught myself how to play notes C to A. It delivered on the first day of estimated shipping date. Amazon stated it was delivered on my front porch and when I went out to check, there she was! Great packaging.5 Star review, I recommend this trumpet to beginner students like myself. Thank you very much for my $100 trumpet!

Very nice!
I played the trumpet a long time ago and had a very nice trumpet. I bought this as a starter for my son who enjoys many instruments. Wow! Truly great quality and sound. It's unimaginable that you can get such a high quality trumpet for this price. Definitely a good deal for the money. One word of advice, be sure and get valve oil. Straight from the factory, the valves will need oiled after a short amount of play. I highly recommend this musical instrument.

A pleasant surprise!
I admit it: I am cynical about cheap trumpets. In fact, I spent days looking at used trumpets and cornets all over the place! All of them were either worn out banged up junk that only a sucker would buy, or absurdly overpriced instruments that only a dumber sucker would buy.Sooo...after reading ALL the reviews kindly left here by others who have purchased an Etude trumpet, I decided to take a chance on getting one myself. All I had to lose was return shipping charges, right? What a pleasant surprise! I know a little about horns, having owned a Silver Sonic cornet "back in the days", so give my opinion a little weight when I tell you that.....this is a GREAT horn, and would be a good buy at TWICE the price I paid! The quality of construction and materials rates right up there with horns costing several times more, and the sound of this horn is good enough to make me think I'm better at playing it than I really am!Sure, there were a couple of small problems with my horn, but I solved them easily enough. First, the valves were sticky. I cured that by removing them (one at a time as they aren't marked), completely wiping all the original valve oil off everything and applying a SMALL amount (one or two drops carefully spread around each valve) of Denis Wick valve oil with PTFE (teflon). It's the best valve oil on the planet, thinner and more slippery than what Etude used.Second, the screw that holds the third slide finger ring was missing. I replaced it with a 4mm X .07 set screw, 5mm in length. It doesn't show, and cost me all of 26 cents. Later (as often), I found the screw where it had fallen out while unpacking the trumpet.Third....well, there really isn't really much of a third to mention. The polishing cloth that came with the trumpet shed more than my cat. One of the hinges on the case is out of alignment, and if that ever breaks it will probably cost me about a dollar to replace both of them. The white cotton gloves they included weren't bad quality, but I don't need them.I have read reviews here where people complained about some very petty problems with their horns, and can only suggest that they check out the used trumpets in their local markets to see what can go wrong with these instruments regardless of brand or cost. Do you really think it a good idea to give a teenager a $800 to $1,000 Yamaha or Bach to practice on?I'm far from of my teens, and the Etude is certainly good enough for my purpose! As usual, I'll update this review if I find anything pertinent to add to it.

Wow. This is a real instrument not a knockoff.
I am not a horn player and the last time I played a typical "band" instrument was in the 80's. I played Flute and the pawn shop instrument I had at the time was low quality and expensive. I decided to take up trumpet to expand the sounds I could put in my music and for jazz and funk songs I want to do. Imagine my surprise when $110 got me an instrument every bit as good as I would need should I make Trumpeting my profession and wanted to study it. It's solidly built, nothing cheap about it and the fit and finish are excellent. It's substantially solid in hand, has a mirror finish and any sour sounds that come out of it are surely my ineptitude as I learn. Even the case is a legitimate instrument cast, hard reinforced resin with a velvet/velour interior complete with a polish cloth, white gloves, and plenty of cubby holes and storage for your valve oil and music book. No cloth hardcases here like my violin. The case and the instrument should be able to stand up to ANY Child. I honestly haven't been this satisfied with a musical instrument purchase since I bought my Les Paul. If you wish to learn the Trumpet you can do no wrong with this instrument, it will take you as far as you want to push to and whatever level you want to arrive at. Unlike other reviewers I did not need to oil the valves out of the box. I have done no maintenance on it in a week of daily playing other than draining and drying and it plays fast and smooth.

Great Trumpet
I bought this Trumpet for my son so we could save some $ on not having to rent an instrument. I was a bit worried since the reviews seemed to be mixed but we received ours and since we have had it we have had no problems. Even my son's music teacher commented on how nice of a Trumpet it was. They just had their 1st Winter Recital and it sounded wonderful. I would buy it again. You can't beat the price plus we received it quickly with everything that was supposed to be included. The case is much nicer and sturdier (hard plastic/metal) than I expexted and has been holding up perfectly so far. It should keep this instrument safe for a long time to come.
