Q: Are these stackable and how sturdy are they?

Don’t think you would want a 3 cube on top of a 3 cube, would be too unstable

You can get 60 normal items in each compartment

Q: Do these come in black?

I think they do, but couldn't swear to it, as i bought the oak-look ones.

Q: Do you have to secure this unit to the wall?

My unit has 2 compartments and not 3 as in the picture. I have books on my shelves putting heavier ones at the bottom. I do not feel it necessary to attach the unit to the wall. If there were small children here I may well revisit this decision.
