ZyXEL ES2108PWR 8-Port Layer 2 Managed Switch with PoE Support

I'm using this to push 8 PoE cameras and it's working great. I unfortunately can't comment on the Layer 2 management capabilities of it as I don't use them, but it has been reliable thus far for the past 6 months or so. The rack-mount ears are a nice touch to keep everything nice and clean in the rack.The biggest thing that drew me to this switch was the 100Mbps ports with the 1Gbps uplink. I didn't need full 1Gbps to each of my PoE cameras, but I did need the uplink speed as combined the cameras push over 100Mbps so I needed gigabit into my core switch. This is the best of both worlds as it's far cheaper than a pure gigabit PoE switch.I'll update this review if anything goes wrong.

We have several of these around campus, works great for a quick fix, especially for fiber connectivity andonly 1-5 users, never have a problem.

Have one for over 2 year now at home working 24x7. This is the type of one you set up once and forget it is even there...zero maintenance required.,.

The ZyXel 2108PWR has become one of our standard switches used now for small business deployments. I would recommend this product.
