Yes.
YES. These traps caught my mouse. It was the 12th one I put out that was successful. No more mouse droppings. Yeah.

Best We've Found Anywhere
We live in the country and country critters are just everywhere - - from the coyote that walked across our porch yesterday - to the snakes we have found inSIDE our home - and no we're not hoarders - We have a beautiful place we built 50 yrs ago and it's even been on a home tour - - But surrounded by a woods on 3 sides - things are just going to happen - We had a mouse explosion a while back and all we had were the cheaply made Dollar Store mouse traps and they would trip if a mouse even got within view - leaving the mouse to run free - My husband said "Get on amazon and find the best mouse trap of this style - and order a couple" I ordered these and after only a few days - our mouse population is null and void as far as we know - - Now they're a little tricky to set until you get used to them - - because they are on dead ready from the time you start trying to set one - - but they WORK - -

Did the job
I reuse the traps - I also write names on them like Killer or The Eliminator and lastly I draw little profiles of mice on them for each kill Oddly some traps catch many more than others and some catch none

The mousetrap everyone tries to improve upon.
This classic trap is indeed easy to set but also a little tricky to handle, without unintended tripping and sometimes painful results. But it worked, and within an hour, against the one mouse in my unit.

The Reigning Champion... For good reason
The mouse trap is the most patented invention in history. There is a reason they still make these centuries later. The negative reviews due to seller issues or user error should be ignored. Watch a YouTube tutorial. Bait (a little peanut butter in the bait cup is my go to) and position properly, and you'll catch mice. Look at my pictures provided for baiting and placement. No poison around your family or dead mice in your walls. Cheap enough to throw out if cleaning a catch makes you squeamish, but built well enough to reuse again and again. They are simply designed and results in fewer functionality failures (i.e. dead batteries or broken parts). Victor makes these to the highest standard and they feel superior in material and function to other brands of the same model. I prefer the EZ-set paddles versus the traditional copper trigger. The holding bar can be "tuned" to increase or decrease sensitivity of the trigger (note some versions have "F" and "S" on paddle for firm and sensitive). Also, I often catch mice just running across the perimeter of the walls, not just when they are eating the bait. Still #1 in humane mouse eradication.

POORLY MANUFACTURED TRAP
I have used Victor mouse traps for 75 years. Reviewers complained about the quality of Victor traps; so I bought two of each type of Victor mouse trap to see if they were still made as well as the old ones that I have used for years. I bought two taps of this type, which looked similar to an old one I still use with success. Both these traps arrived and they looked like the one I had, but looks were deceiving. I baited each one and tried to set them, but they kept triggering off before I could even set them on the floor. I tried to set each one many times, but I could not get either trap to stay set for more than a few seconds before it would trigger off. A close examination revealed that the trigger mechanism is never going to work because the trap itself and the trigger mechanism are not properly made. My old one has worked reliably for years, but these new traps are poorly made. It is not worth my time to return this junk to Amazon; so into the trashcan they go. I also bought two of Victors other type mouse trap, which is the type I first used in the late 1940's. Of those two traps one worked and caught a mouse. The other trap went off the first night and the entire trap mechanism blew apart but the lucky mouse got away safely. Thus out of 4 Victor mouse traps purchased, I got one that works and the garbage man will get the other three. Too bad Victor can't make a reliable mouse trap like they did decades ago. I guess the Victor company has sacrificed quality to make a cheap product that the consumer has to throw away. I am sure the Victor company does not suffer losing the business of this very old man, but perhaps you younger folks can learn from my experience and save your money. It is sad to see American manufacturing quality decline to the level of Chinese made junk!

Killed the mice many times
These things are the best of all the various traps I have used. Forget the bucket traps etc, load this up by pressing peanut butter into the bait holder and set a bunch of them. Fix the entry points, I leave my garage door open when working and they come on in and get caught by the traps set at the base of the door hinges.

Allez y !

Set two of these next to my kitchen sink cupboard that mice like to hide behind. The trigger is very sensitive & one of the traps likes to go off with barely any movement, but that's ok. Baited with peanut butter in the small oblong box at the back of the food plate & within 30 minutes it caught a mouse. No bait taken so disposed of the mouse in the back yard & put the trap back on the floor in the kitchen. BAM! There's another mouse caught while I was finishing the last sentence above. Only 10 minutes this time.

Wow! We caught 2 mice within 30 minutes! Instant kill with extremely thick snap bar. So easy to set up. Very strong well made reusable traps. We had been trying to catch mice for weeks with the usual $2 shop wooden mouse traps to no avail. Success with these Victor ones. The food trigger plate is huge and has made all the diffence. Will be ordering more for sure.
