DFD have consistently proven to be one of the hardest working bands in the last few decades. To the point that even their work gloves have calluses. Enter Ad Nauseaum, the eighth and latest record from Baltimore's devil-children, Dog Fashion Disco. As with each of it's predecessors, Ad Nauseaum is a fiery exclamation of cynicism, dark humor and universal truths. It is bullet proof and undeniably sustainable in the eye of it's own hurricane.

DFD has many moments of brilliance on this album
I didn't think DFD would ever get close to the awesomeness that is Adultery, but here's proof they can hit those high-water marks again. I'm not saying this meets the level of Adultery--perfection is perfection. But this 9 song album has many moments of quality that is as brilliant as anything they've done. The title track didn't grab me when I first heard it on youtube--I thought it was pretty basic. But I was sold on the rest of the album immediately. Then, a few more listens and I couldn't get the title track out of my head. My favorite track has to be "Starving Artist" -- an incrediblly epic song that meanders many places without sounding contrived or random. It's a perfect album closer. After listening to the album on Google Play a few times, I went ahead and bought the CD so I can wear it out in my car. It's DFD in proper form. Just get it already!

Another Great DFD Album!!
Another great DFD album. It's definitely not a clone of their last album, Sweet Nothings, which is why i love it. If you do not know who Dog Fashion Disco are, and like something a little off the wall and brilliant, this is for you. My 3 most favorite tracks so far are Golden Mirage, Covered In Blood, and Starving Artist. The album is a nice incorporation of the slow, medium, and fast paced. Buy it and support these guys, and look forward to the stuff coming out from their other projects, El-Creepo, Knives Out, Polkadot Cadaver, and also Jasan's new project, In The Blind. Todd and Jasan are two of the busiest people in the music biz, but unfortunately don't get as much credit as they deserve.

Not nearly the album Sweet Nothings is. Not very good either.
Man. What a dissapointment. I was hyped about this album after Sweet Nothings which I thought was fantastic. My first listen of this was not a pleasant one. Pretty much everything about this album seems off. First of all, you will not find a SINGLE review, interview, article or anything on the Internet about this album. Nonexistent promotion. Second, every song on this album sounds like a less fun, poorly written b side from the last album. Third. The lyrics are nearly entirely anti religious garble cloaked in metaphors. Anti Christian stuff is so trendy it makes me sick. Fourth. The production is awful. I'm serious, this thing sounds like a TOTAL after thought to sweet nothings. Finally, there just isn't the same fire on the album. It is by FAR their worst album. Try again fellas. Still love the old stuff!

Awesome album. 5 stars!
This album is brilliant. Even the order of the tracks is brilliant... When Last Night Never Happened ends, rough as it can be, and Golden Mirage starts playing with this upbeat keyboard intro... I love it!!It's a great album, can't really pick a favorite, they're all just a bit different, but this one is excellent nonetheless.

I own all of DFD's albums and their respective side projects and I enjoy most of these albums (Polkadot's Cadaver's "Last Call In Jonestown" was pretty bland and repetitive), but this album seemed like it was full of b-sides from DFD's previous release "Sweet Nothings". The only two songs that really stood out to me were the title track and "Golden Mirage". The rest of the album just felt like b-sides or throwaway songs/filler so that they could get enough material together to call it an album. I take no satisfaction in saying this because DFD has produced such great songs throughout their history. But this album was just a disappointment for me. I hope others find some enjoyment in it though.
