Just received this today (September 16th. About 5 days earlier than schedule, that's awesome!) I immediately put it into a skar enclosure which I love (link below) it was a perfect fit, no cutting needed. I've had 6 different sub setups ranging from 2 8s, all the way to two 12s. This sub is my first high quality sub and holy cow there's a huge difference between this sub and the other ones I've had. I'm convinced, I will never buy a cheaper brand ever. This thing will confuse people into thinking it's a low end 12 easy. That being said, I didn't want anything too crazy, Its my daily and I wanted something that wouldn't take the whole trunk up (I already have an air tank for my bags) and I wanted something that could be removed easy if I needed the space in a jam. This sub delivers, small in size, and powerful in performance. This sub sounds so good, I didn't even know a sub can sound any better than a cheap one sounds. This review is long over-due but that alone speaks to the longevity of this sub. It's worth every penny and more. I put one of these in a custom enclosure, it's coming up on 6 years now that I've had it, and I have abused the absolute heck out of it. I've ran it above it's RMS power A LOT, had it in a trunk being tossed around with car parts and tools, let it sit in less than ideal conditions, it became a scratching post for my cats, and it just won't stop pumping out strong and consistent bass. The surround is still stout, all of the stitching is completely in tact, no adhesive has came loose, there's zero corrosion on the magnet, and all of the connections are clean. It's sitting in my living room for now for fun, but it will eventually find it's way back into another car. I will keep using this thing until it completely fails. Nothing but great things to say about Sundown.

Have it in a .75ft3 box tuned to 32hz. Running a sundown sfb 1000. (1410 rms)It takes it no problem. Great sub if you are limited on space, like my S crew f150.

Are you looking for just a little bit of low end to add to your music? This isn’t it! Listening to this sub will make you think you have a 12in sub, based on the lows this thing plays. It hits as hard and louder then a 12in mid range Kenwood, I own. One is good enough for me, but if you want some serious bass in a small space grab 2 and with the right amp, you’ll be putting some 12s to shame.

This 8” sounds amazing and gets low. I only bought one just cause of the space I have and am super excited and happy about it. Before I had 2 scars and this sub blows scar out of the waters even with just 1 sundown so that tells you a lot. I still have this in a pre fab box but I have ordered a custom for it and can not wait to see what it can do. Very excited buyer
