Love this lil guy! Takes out pits like a champ, only missed 1 pit out of an ice cream bucket full of cherries and it took no time at all to get them all done. The price is awesome, it's set up is great and easy to use with multiple catching bowls for your cherries. I have used this with small tart cherries and it made fast work with the ability to center them and pit them faster than with the hand held lil guy I have, only missed a few but that was user malfunction LOLClean up is a breeze because it disassembles quick and easy. Great design and works perfectly.

My new Leifheit Cherry Stoner arrived today and I’ve already pitted over two quarts of sour cherries. I read reviews that pointed out my variety of smaller cherry may be a bit challenging to work with and the device might miss about a third of the pits. I decided I’d keep that in mind and carefully kept each cherry centered for the sharp pit remover. Worked great compared to the little hand held styles I’ve used in the past, and never again will I do this by hand with a paring knife- good grief! Lol!

This works well but you have to feed the cherries one by one and watch that the pit drops down or squish it between your fingers, if you want to be absolutely sure. My son filled the top and had a great time punching down the cherry pits but only got about half of them that way.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:We have a farm that produced hugeamounts of cherries- three types, Royal Anne's, pie and true sour. Have been using this pitter for over ten years- it's wonderful. Always check for pits before I use the pitted cherries, it misses a few depending on how much speed I decide to apply. Slower produces the best results, highly recommended
