VANKEY Large Spotting Scope Phone Adapter

If this is the metal version it works and hasn’t broken. Of plastic yes it snapped in half after a couple uses

It's kind of finicky to get set but it is pretty cool. This is looking through my spotting scope at 300 yards.

I decided to get this unit for placing my cell phone to the eye piece of my telescope. The images here are mine and used my cell with a Zhumell Z130 telescope to take them. This all metal version is heavy so make sure your telescope can withstand a bit of weight on it. Mine sadly is a plastic focuser but it's still holding true even with the weight of this holder and phone attached. You'll need to practice and maybe even attach this holder in daylight to get things perfectly aligned but it is solid.

This adapter is very compatible with any phone or telescope. However, I tried to use it with binoculars and it is quite awkward to handle. Good build quality, but unstable in many positions.

This thing works nicely, takes a second to set up, but can't complain for the price.

I bought this to go on a spotting scope. Impossible to get lined up corrrectly. Seems to me like it is missing a part to work correctly. Bad buy on my part.

Took me a bit to work out how to attach this in order to properly line up my phone. Successfully attached to 20mm lens on Celestine AstroMaster 70 telescope. Phone is Samsung Note20 Ultra with case. Pics show 1) the view through the phone camera, mounted on attachment and 2) the perspective from the telescope. Now excited to use this to view our night skies! Purchased the metal version, seems sturdy and well built. I tightened several of the screws fairly well, no cracking issues thus far.

You get what you pay for. This product is robust and well built. But, at this price point you do not get a refined product. It is difficult to make fine adjustments. If you are patient this product works very well as takes time to set up and get focused. If i used one of these more frequently, I would order a more expensive one that had more refined adjustment.

Pictures in the item suggest it fits and eyepiece with diameter of 62mm.....it does not I have one that is 52mm-54mm. Doesn't fit that let alone 62mm. Wasted money.

Did not like the phone holder part on my iPhone pro max. The sides are not deep enough. I have to constantly watch that the phone does not fall off. Not worth sending back.
