Is the top of the toaster cool while using? I have low cabintes and have to pull my current toaster beyond the cabinet to make toast.

The top of the toaster is cool, however, the slot is open in front and back of toaster so I pull mine forward to prevent the heat escaping the back from damaging anything.

Perfect bagels?

It can toast anything that can fit onto its rack and bagels are certainly no obstacle. You will quickly discover that you need to run it through more than once to get the desired level of 'doneness," however it is the final result (crisp without being burned) that surpasses all other toasters I have ever had.  I purchased two in case this model was ever discontinued.

The dimensions says 14x8x6 that can't be right. Could someone measure theirs? Thx ?

I'm not a precise measurer, but mine is roughly 12 x 6 x 7.5.  It's just large enough for 2 slices of bread.  I really love it.  It fits in a small nook where a conventional toaster used to be.  I love that I can choose how long to toast bread.  I like mine really crispy, so I leave it in for about 10 minutes.  I do use tongs to reposition the bread part way through toasting because the heating element below is just a single bar--long enough, but not quite wide enough to toast the whole slice evenly.  The top heating element is a bit wider than the bottom one.  I also like that I can toast a croissant, a slice of pizza, a muffin, and a lot of other things I couldn't put in a toaster.
