High quality boots and lightning fast delivery!!!
While in the process of rebuilding my fatigue uniform from my time in the Army โ69-71โ I found these awesome jump boots like the ones so many of us wore. I ordered a pair and sat back expecting a long wait to get the delivery. To my surprise I got them four days after I placed the order. When I put them on they fit perfectly. They are amazingly comfortable and will only get better with time while they are breaking in although they donโt really require any stretching as they fit right out of the box. The craftsmanship is outstanding and the shine on them is unbelievable. I wish I could have put such a great shine on mine so I could have passed inspections. If they didnโt didn't have such a great smell of fine leather I would have thought them to be patent leather not real. Itโs safe to say Iโm more than satisfied with my boots. I recommend that anyone who might be looking for boots for work, reenactment, or anything else to seriously consider a pair of these boots. I noticed they come in brown also which will serve well to complete my fatherโs WW2 uniform.

Great pair of boots for occasional wear
I love these boots. I have had my pair for several years now. Break in period was fast and now they feel very comfortable on my feet. I can not comment on how you would feel if you wore them all day long, as the maximum amount of time in one day that I have worn them is only a couple of hours. But for that long the boots are great and don't hurt my feet at all. The craftsmanship and the quality of the leather is top notch, in my opinion. Leather is soft and shiny. The sole is strong and secure. The boot has a good arch support. Again, I am not military, not a camper. I don't spend all day wearing these boots. One of the main reasons I bought them is the look. They really do look nice, especially if you take good care of them, clean and polish the leather, etc. The fit is as expected. I would definitely recommend these boots. But then again, your experience, depending on your needs, may vary. Attached are a couple of photos of my pair.

lack of articulation in title
This boot is made in the USA. It is made by Corcoran. It is a 10 inch jump boot. BUT it is not the ORIGINAL model that Corcoran produced years ago. If you look at the image of the boot from the top down, you will note by zooming in that the felt that blocks the view of the thin brown leather is placed for deceptive reasons. It surely does not reflect the boot in whole as it blocks the view into the boot. The leather is very thin and not full grain leather, usually these boots will last years of abuse. I returned these cause chances are... they would not withstand any hard wear. These boots are made of compressed/ chipped leather which is JUNK and not quality at all. I cannot understand why Corcoran would make this..... If anyone makes an attempt to purchase this boot know that it is not the ORIGINAL. The ORIGINAL boots will hold that title, Original. Corcoran Original Jump boots are what you are after. You will pay for them, but they are well worth it

Review
Just received the boots. first time I buy Corcoran in 12 years of military duty. Usually had rocky, lowa and meindl. Positive:Quality seems good. Stitches look fine and the boots look great with a nice "shiny" touch. Went out for a small 2 hrs walk and can definitely say that they are comfortable but will need a couple of miles to break them. ankle is well held. Negative: I would say original laces look fragile, but I can't say for sure cause I just got them. Time will tell, nevertheless that's no big deal cause you can always change them. Usually I wear 10 or 10.5 D. I knew that jump boots were usually bigger so I took 10" D and they fit perfectly in length, but the width is a bit tight. Just need some time and the leather will get softer and it will be ok.

Tough as Nails!
Ok, I just want to say a couple of things about these boots and debunk a couple of Reviewer-Fueled Myths. These boots are very very tough. I have had mine for 5 1/2 and the leather is holding up like new. As for the myths: 1. The leather is not "paper thin" or "fake" or even "cheap". It is good, thick, quality leather that doesn't crack under pressure like some reviewers seem to say. It holds up to hard wear and stands its ground against stress exquisitely. (Just give it a little time to break in.) 2. The construction isn't shoddy or cheap. One thing about Corcoran is that they wouldn't compromise their long time good rep by pulling any crap with the construction of their boots. I mean, come on! They are made in USA! Also, they are really comfortable because of the Army Munson Last used in their construction that gives a superior, non-slip fit for the foot as well as the shock-absorbing insole. I wear mine for 10-11 hours EVERY DAY and my feet are quite at bay when I take them off (and I only take them off because I can't wear them to bed.) So don't listen to the haters out there. These are really good boots.

Box came damaged
The shoebox was shipped in a bag instead of an amazon box, so it came damaged. Returning it since it is a gift. Chose UPS and ended up having to spend $22 on a box to ship it back. The boot itself was fine.
