Fieldpiece SC66 Manual Ranging Clamp Meter with Temperature

This is a great tool to have in your bag. Reasonably rugged, well made, precise. It is light so I don't throw it around, rather carry it in the included pouch. The probes are the best part of it, fine tipped and protected on the sides, so you can insert them inside a mesh of wires without fear or causing a short circuit or killing yourself with it.It has a hold function, so you can watch where you're putting the probes and the meter will beep and hold the measurement, so you can look at the results later. They market it as an HVAC tool, but it's really an electrician's tool, or an engineer's tool for everyday use in an industrial setting.My only gripe is that to change it from Farenheit to Centigrades you have to open the shell and change a jumper. It would had been as easy to have put this jumper in the battery compartment.Comes with a thermoprobe so you can measure temperatures with it. It also has a contact measurement, so you can identify live wires without cutting through insulation, it senses the electrical field.Awesome. Expensive. Light. Pretty. Visible. Useful. Versatile.

Great shape, works well, not to much wear and tear. Well worth what I paid.

It works great and readings are accurate. I had one exactly like this before and never had to replace the battery after thousands of service calls. It also never broke after several accidental drops! so I think it is built solid and I have never had any problems with it.

Ok going from a Lowes meter to this was nice. Now that being said..... The probe has almost no surface area. Some guys cut back the plastic on these. You can order different ones yes.. I thought it would have a magnetic clip on it, but no. I should have spent the money on a better fieldpiece. All in all it works.

Great meter, can read mfds, temperatures and can check for voltage without using the leads. It has a lot of options, and is cheaper than other meters. This is my baby, i use a cheaper meter and only bring this baby out when i really need it. I always see techs walking around with meters that dont read capacitance - i always whip this bad boy out and save the day.

I'm in hvac school and it really makes my life better. Its easy to use even if you don't have a technical mind. I will buy this product again.

The equipment is of very good quality, resistant, comfortably, simply for the work of refrigeration. For my it is the best equipment that I have used to work, I recommend it to the technical personnel in this area.
