Best case I've ever owned... Period.
I never thought I'd write a review for a phone case, but this one is by far the best case I've ever owned. I used to buy the transparent/slim TPU cases that cost around 8-10 dollars but they usually become gross after just a couple of months of use. I've owned this Tough Armor case for over two months now and it still looks like new.It adds a little bit of bulk to my pixel 4A, but it's still very slim overall, fits easily in my jeans pocket, and contrary to most other you cases, this one really adds protection. You can see and feel it. I find the case has a very nice feel to it and the build quality is outstanding! (All cut-outs are beautifully finished, logo engraved in kickstand, etc).As a bonus, I find the kickstand super useful! If I had a super picky wish it would be that the kickstand would also hold the phone in portrait mode (current only works when the phone is landscape / horizontal). This case is really awesome and great value for the price, awesome enough that I had to take the time to write a review which I rarely do :)

Great fitting case, stand stays put once set
The Spigen case is easy to put onto the Pixel 4a and all cutouts and notches are perfect. The side buttons are maybe an even nicer feature than the stand: they are in line with the case, and the power button is textured so you don't confuse it with the volume rockers. The back of the case is a smooth texture. FYI for those who like grippy cases. The fingerprint notch has a decent bezel, and I can easily unlock each use with no interference. A different brand named after an aquatic mammal has a better design that utilizes a taper, but this one works, so no complaints. The stand seems flimsy on first use, but it's actually pretty tough. Time will tell how durable it is. It works as promised; the only flaw is that it doesn't lock open - it may flap around until you get the phone set. Once set, the phone is stable. The placement is key - flip to one side for a nearly vertical stand, and then flip to the other side for a 45 degree angle. This is a solid budget case for a nice budget phone.

Update: Close Enough to Perfect
After just a few days of use, I REALLY wanted to give this a 5-star review, but can't quite.I'm mostly in love with this case for the Pixel 4a. All the cutouts are ideal. It feels sturdy, with some extra protection at the corners and a nice deep "lip" to protect the camera. The two-part construction with a relatively thick hard plastic outer shell gives me confidence that this will indeed protect my phone. My favorite feature, though, is the clickable buttons for on-off and volume control. Unlike other cases with thin plastic over the phone's controls, this offers a satisfying tactile feel and a genuine click. So what's not to like? It's slick--why not build a little texture into the hard shell? The lip around the screen almost disappears when you add a separate screen protector as I did. It needs to be a little deeper. Those are the two important minuses. Less important--it comes only in black. Okay, I get they're trying to mimic Otterbox, but would it kill them to make the inner TPU shell in colors? Navy, gray or red would fly off the shelves and not change the value of this case one iota. And finally...I'm guessing if you plan on using the kickstand a lot, it isn't going to hold upOf course, if I find other problems as I use it more, I'll update this review.Update:. After using the case for awhile, I'm upping my rating to a 5. I love it. It adds both heft and superior protection to a small thin phone. I stand by the negatives, but I see this lasting every bit as long as the phone, protecting it every step of the way. Bottom line, it's close enough to perfect to rate a top score.

Thicker than expected, but looks to be the same quality that's lasted me 3 years on my old phone.
Update: I received the Pixel 4a, and I have happy to confirm that everything fits perfectly. Plenty of room and clearance for the camera(s), the headphone and USB C ports, and the buttons work nice and crisply. It's still a thicker case. The phone itself feels thinner than the Pixel 2 (but thicker in the raised camera area), but with the case it feels thicker. I guess this is for protection, but I didn't feel that I needed more protection than my last Tough Armor case. I guess we'll see, but in a perfect world, this case would be a hint thinner than it is.Original: I currently have a Pixel 2 with the Spigen Tough Armor on it. The Tough Armor is a fantastic case, with a combination of a great price point, included kickstand, slickness and durability. That Tough Armor differentiates from the Thin Fit (formerly Slim Armor?) and the Rugged Armor by being heavier and thicker than those. I tried a Rugged Armor on the pixel 2, but felt it was too akin to a simple slip-on case. The Tough Armor adds a 2-layer aspect which gives it rigidity.I have used this Pixel 2 Tough Armor for 3 years now, and it has been subject to, effectively, abuse. It has held up great, with no signs of breakage. The old case has a slightly rubberized feel, with a mostly 'smooth' back cover which helps facilitate sliding it in and out of a pocket. It does not grab the pocket like other heavy rubber cases. And as you can see from some of the marks, the old case definitely took a couple drops. With the 4a on its way, I figured it was time to jump on the bandwagon of the new phone. I naturally ordered this Spigen case again due to my experience with the first. This new case is identical in feel and usability. It's easy to clean, and easy to slide in and out of a pocket. It seems just as durable and well-built as the previous generation. It added another layer of foam to the inside, which frankly doesn't look terribly useful for preventing breakages - most damage occurs at the corners. That said, however, the corners were redesigned and appear to be a hint thicker - they look like that they will handle more impacts than before. All in all, it looks great. The biggest single disappointment is that the case as a whole feels much thicker compared to my Pixel 2's Spigen case. I broke out the calipers - it's only 1mm thicker in most parts (11.7mm vs 12.7mm), but it's definitely noticeable. The Pixel 4a appears to only be 0.25mm thicker than the Pixel 2.All in all, it seems very sturdy, and I'm happy with it. I'll report back in a bit once the phone actually is released and I can talk about fitment.

Perfect fit. Great protection.
I'm holding on to my 'old' (bought 2021!) phone. Love the smaller size. To protect it I have used various brands of cases and this is the best. Trim not bulky. Solid secure protection. Absolutely perfect matchup for buttons, headphone jack, speaker and power cord openings. Bland black but that's ok. I'll spiff it up with a sticker. Only gripe is that the kickstand only works when the phone is horizontal. The off to one side placement of the kickstand ensures that the phone topples to the opposite side when vertical.

Qualitatif
